"Dumbledore's been ignoring me" harry confessed to Spencer.
The two were laying down together.
"After the trial he just... disappeared" he said.
"He's a busy man" Spencer shrugged. "I'm sure you'll see him at Hogwarts."
"Did you know he told Hermione and Ron to ignore my letters?"
"He told me not to reach out to you, but of course I didn't listen. I didn't know he told them that though."
"Why did he?"
"I'm sorry Harry I really don't know. Maybe he doesn't want your location to be tracked?"
"Hmm."
"So no invite?" Sirius walked into the room.
"You were sleeping" Spencer replied.
"Should've woken me up" he got in between them.
"Must you be in the middle" she asked.
"Yes" he smiled. "So, Harry, how was your summer? Uneventful, lame, spent it yearning for your favorite godfather?"
"You're my only godfather" he chuckled. "It was fine, did homework" he shrugged. "Read."
"Bleh, reading. I can't stand it" he shook his head. "Remus spent his whole summer doing just that. Why, I don't understand. I need to find him a woman to keep him entertained."
"Gross" Harry shook his head as he laughed.
"Sirius" she said disappointedly.
He chuckled, "I'm serious- that man is all broody."
"Maybe it's because of his ex girlfriend, remember?"
"It definitely is Harry" Sirius agreed.
"So then why don't you find the girl he wants? Don't you know her?"
He cleared his throat, "I don't know her, no."
"Maybe we can find her?"
"Let me tell you something Harry, relationships are like a coin."
"Outdated?"
Spencer chuckled.
"No- double sided."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"That while we may feel inclined to have empathy for Remus, we don't know the full story."
"... will we ever know the full story?"
He shrugged, "dunno."
"So what do we do until then? Do you think if I ask he'd tell me?"
"I'm not sure" he answered honestly. "The only way to see is to try."
"Hmm" Harry thought.
After a few moments he got out of bed.
"Where are you going?"
"To try."
"You are such a gossip" Spencer chuckled.
"I don't know much about girls, I want to learn" he joked before leaving the room.
Spencer took a deep breath as he closed the door.
"Relax" Sirius told her.
"Easy for you to say" she shook her head.
"They'll connect now" he replied. "Remus has been feeling-"
"I know... we've talked about it" she sighed. "We always talked about it" she whispered.
