After his talk with Sarah Adam was now keeping on going through his normal routine for each day but at the same time keeping his eyes open for any sights of the dark copy of him which were not that many and so as he was getting prepared for his workout Adam's phone went off with a message from Alice that read " Hey it's me i was just thinking after school we can get some coffee and just hang out what do you think?" before he then sent "sure sounds good i'll talk to you later " and then tied his sneakers before heading out to the workout room where he then plugged in his music and turned on his workout playlist before he started to stretch his muscles for the next few minutes while the song that was playing "Skeletons" by Heartist began to get to the good part.
So then as he was soon done Adam grabbed the weights in the corner before he then lifted them and did twenty reps with them as he kept breathing in and out to keep his breaths at a good amount . As he finished his reps Adam then put them down before switching to " The Phoenix " by Fall Out Boy and then picked the weights up again before this time going to thirty and forty reps for the next few minutes while the sun came through the window and hit his body . Once he was done Adam then got to his feet before he then moved over to the pull up bar and then as the song was now " Imperial March " he then lifted his arms up before grunting to himself " One " "Two" "Three" as he kept lowering himself down and going back up for the rest of his workout time before he got into a crouch and then rose up before grabbing a fresh towel.
Adam then draped it over his forehead before wiping some sweat off and then headed into the shower before stepping out and getting dressed . After that was done Adam headed over to the little bowl to grab his keys before he sat in his car and texted Alice with " You want to meet me at the diner for some food ? i mean if you can't i get it " before he pulled out of the driveway and reached the diner in the next few seconds . Once he sat down at a booth he whipped out the menu and looked through it before he felt a hand on his shoulder and so he looked up before smiling at Alice who sat down across from him and said " Hey what's new ? you know besides the usual " before he shook his head and said after that " Nothing much just keeping my eyes open for anything weird or that's related to who i am you know ?" which got a nod from Alice.
So then she said " What are you going to order ? i'll probalby get some eggs and toast or something else " before Adam looked over the menu for a few moments before he said " I'm going to get the eggs and bacon as well as a glass of hot chocolate " which amused Alice as she said " Of course you would get that " with a smile on her face before the waitress came over . They then gave in their orders before Alice asked " so what are you doing for Christmas i mean if you have nothing else to do want to go to the city or do something for just the two of us ?" which Adam shook his head in a positive manner before saying " let's see what happens OK ?" and Alice nodded before looking up and saw that their drinks were at their booth and so as they thanked the waitress Adam then took a sip of his hot chocolate before he said " want to know the scary part about all this with my body? " with Alice shaking her head at the question .
Then Adam said in response to that " It's the whole fact that i could go insane or go mad with power you know ? i don't want to ever experience that as it could get me killed or hurt someone i love " which Alice closed her eyes at before she said " well i know that me and your family would never let you go through that alone so don't worry you'll have people by your side ok ?" before the food came and they smiled before digging into their food . The food was really good and so Adam held out a bacon strip before giving it to Alice who smiled and said " man this is really good i hope we can keep coming here " with a happy tone in her voice while Adam chuckled at that and said " me too i like it here as it's pretty homey feeling you know?" as he then took up a piece of egg and ate it before drinking some of his hot chocolate for the moment .
A few moments later Adam and Alice then paid for their meals before heading out to the sun coming down on their faces and so Adam asked " want to go to the mall or get some drinks or something ?" with Alice shaking her head and saying " can't i feel pretty tired so i'm going home to take a nap but i'll call you later OK ?" and then kissed his cheek before getting into her car and drove off with Adam nodding to himself in agreement at the idea that he should take a nap before driving home where he then headed to the bedroom and then plugged in his phone before falling asleep for the time being .
Once he was done Adam then got out of bed before heading to the den where he worked on some writing before he then went to the dinner table and then sat down before taking some food onto his plate and then ate his dinner before going to the den and then worked on the rest of his writing before going to bed .
