While Adam and Alice were dealing with their own problems for the time being Luke was standing in front of his mirror in his room while Kara was sitting on her vanity seat brushing her hair and as she finished that she turned to her husband and asked " You thinking of something sweetie ?" before Luke turned to her and asked " Honey do you think we should try and talk to my father and see if we can stop him from doing anything that Auriex wants him to do or will it come to fighting ?" and Kara sighed as she thought to herself for the moment that she didn't want to fight her own family but she would do it to protect her sons and she said to her husband " Yes we need to see if we can do anything to prevent him from hurting our children " .
So as they got ready for the day Luke headed out to the kitchen before he began to make breakfast for his family and so Adam and Connor walked into the room before Adam noticed his father's look of worry and asked " You OK dad ?" before Connor added " yeah you seem worried about something " before Kara who was making his coffee said " It's ust that he's worried about us going after your grandfather " to which Adam said "You think you can handle him dad ? Not that we have no faith in you but we don't want to lose you " which made Luke smile and so he hugged them before he said " Don't worry son i'll be fine " and so both brothers finished their food before heading out to school . Luke hugged his wife and said " Let's go talk to Sarah and see if she can do anything to help us you know ?" with Kara nodding before they then headed out to the car .
Then as Luke drove to the manor he thought to himself " I hope that Adam and Connor do not have to go to the level of hurting each other in a fight for bad reasons " as he pulled into the manor driveway before he knocked on the door and then said to Sarah " Hey Sarah we were going to try and stop Dariux from doing any of his plans do you want to help us ?" before she smiled grimly and said " Of course i refuse to let him be controlled anymore you know ?" and then they headed out to the armory before arming themselves with some weapons and then they were soon standing in front of the park where Sarah had sensed Dariux's team of goons . Luke looked at his father who had a look of quiet pain yet annoyance on his face and so he said " Dad what's going on why are you doing this ?" before Dariux said " Go home Luke i don't want to kill you but Auriex demands i do ".
Luke and Kara noticed that he was speaking with what seemed like regret and pain in his voice and so Kara stepped up to her husband and asked " What can we do to free you or do you enjoy doing this ?" in a raised tone which got Dariux frowning before he held his hand up and said " No i do not enjoy this pain and killing but there is no way to break Auriex's control except for death so get ready for this fight " as he formed a katana in his hands and charged at the husband and wife duo while Sarah dealt with the other goons . Luke dashed towards his father before they clashed their weapons together in that moment and as Luke struggled to keep his blade against his opponent he asked " Why do you keep working with Auriex i mean do you know you're hunting your grandchildren ?" .
Dariux then narrowed his eyes and said in a angered voice " Do you think i want this do you think i want to be fighting my own family but i can't stop Auriex alone and so i need help to stop him from doing his plans !" as he then kicked his son away only for Kara to try and slash his neck which was prevented by a barrier around his weak spot before Dariux then formed a gauntlet and then punched Kara away with Luke forming a gun and fired three bullets which struck his chest before he threw them away and then said " You're good but it'll take my death to remove the control and i know you too well that you won't kill me " . Luke looked at his wife before he said " Then let's do this " as he charged his gun up with some of his energy before he shot his father with charged bullets for the next few minutes until Dariux decided that time was important.
So he said " This was interesting but i must be off" and so he then fell into the shadows before Luke cursed and said " Let's go home and regroup " with Kara and Sarah nodding. Later as Luke and the ladies stood in the kitchen of the manor he said " So now we know that it's possible to free my father from his mind washing we need to see how far we can go " with Kara nodding before she said " Let's go home and spend some time with our kids " and so both adults headed home before they sat down with their cups of coffee while Adam and Connor walked into the kitchen and sat down with two mugs of hot chocolate . Once they were all sitting down Adam asked " How did it go ?" as he sipped his drink before Luke said " well we know it's possible to free your grandfather from his possession and so we need to see how far it can go before he gets free ".
As he said this Kara was holding her husband's hand as she said " How you guys do today ?" before the two young men talked about their days with Luke and Kara smiling at this . Later that night Luke and Kara were in bed and as they were about to fall asleep Luke said " i love you babe and i hope our family can get through this " before Kara smiled and kiss him as she said " i do too babe ". and then they fell asleep .
