As Adam looked at his mother and dad he sighed to himself before he said " alright hit me with what you got to say " and then sat down across from his parents as his dad cleared his throat before he said " alright well first what do you think about those dreams you have been having ? i know cause you would be screaming about some man threatening someone that he called his son " before Adam said " not much i know they have something to do with my lineage but i don't understand what you know ?" with Luke looking at his wife before he said " well here it is : i am actually a member of a group of beings known as the Shadow People and we can use the energy in us or around us to create what we want like weapons or use it for our own needs " and then he sipped some coffee before continuing " now don't think we're gods cause of that we can be hurt or killed just like anyone else but we will put up a fight before we die as we will never accept giving up or lying down ."
Then Kara said as she picked the conversation up " Now me and your father are actually members of the royal family of the Shadow Beings who were happily married for a long time before your father's father did not like this and wanted your dad to be married to a woman for breeding and for power so we left the family and headed here before we set up our life and had you and your brother " which Adam was both amazed and shocked by as he had always felt that he was just a normal guy but now he found out that he was a prince of some group of people and so he asked " So is my grandfather still alive and is he still trying to hunt us down or anything?" before Luke shook his head as he said " i don't think he's alive and i don't know if he is trying to get back at us so we'll keep our eyes out but we also wanted you to know about who you are so if you have any questions let us know " .
Adam nodded and left the room before sighing in amazement as he stopped in the bedroom before he got dressed and then headed to the street before he pulled out his phone and then turned on "Sweet Dreams " by Emily Browning before he headed down the street till he reached the corner and then took in some air before he ran down the other street and eventually reached the park before he sat on a bench and then took out his phone before he texted Charlie " i got some big news dude call me if you get this " as he then saw Sarah walking towards him with her arms crossed and a unreadable look on her face . She sat down before asking " so you know about who you are do you have anything you want to tell me or say as you look unable to show what you feel " while Adam looked down at his hands before feeling the mark on his chest .
Then he said " I don't know what to say or feel i mean i have felt different but i didn't know i was a prince or at least special you know ?" which Sarah nodded and breathed in for a moment before she said ' Well I've taken it upon myself to teach you about who you are and what you can do so if you want to learn under me just let me know when we're in school ok?" as Adam nodded and she smiled at him before saying " i know i seem cold but it's just something personal " as she got up and they both headed home . Adam stood in front of his mirror before he went to bed as he looked at the mark on his chest with new feelings for the moment. Then as he ran his hand down it he thought to himself " Man this is crazy but we'll see how things go " before he got into his bed and then fell asleep for the night . The next morning Adam was running for his morning exercise before he would be doing anything else .
So as he ran to the block next to his house while listening to " Hell " by Disturbed he thought to himself " so i wonder what will happen today like will i get any new info on who i am oh well we'll have to see " as he took some air into his body before finishing his workout as he headed back to his house before taking his morning shower and as he stepped out of the shower and got dressed he looked up to see his mother standing next to him with a plate of toast. She smiled as she said " you feeling OK sweetheart i mean we blasted you with that little truth you know ?" before Adam nodded as he swallowed his food and said " It's OK mom i got to go i got practice now" before he grabbed his keys as he had gotten his license earlier in the summer and then headed out to his car which was a black Corolla and then he turned on the car before he plugged in his phone and turned on his driving playlist before pulling out of the driveway and headed to the school .
Once he stood in the locker room Adam greeted Charlie in the next moment before he put his things away and then the team headed out to the track before they did their morning workout exercises and then the coach who was a young 20 something year old man named Mr Nathanson said " Alright you guys just do what you normally do for the next few minutes OK? then we will do our laps " before the team ran to do their warm ups . The time went by and so Adam was sitting in the weight room a while later as the team was finished with their laps and were now working on improving their bodies for the day so as Adam was sitting on the bench he laid down and grabbed the bar before his team mate Jason came up and said " you need help dude ?" before Adam nodded and said " sure thing bro " with Jason spotting him as Adam worked on his reps with the bar before he then got up and said " Thanks man " as he fist bumped Jason .
Jason had red hair and green eyes which made him looked good in the eyes of his girlfriend Rachel and so he smirked in a good way before nodding at Alice who stood in the doorway as she blushed before saying " I was looking for Adam " and so Adam walked over before saying " what's up i haven't seen you today " with a smile on his face before Alice smiled back and said " well i was wondering if you wanted to work on our homework for the weekend today ?" . Adam smiled and said " sure i'm almost done here so i'll meet you outside" as he walked back to where his team was and then the team finished their day of working out before heading to get changed and so Adam was heading out to his car before he said to Alice " I'll show you where i live so follow me OK? and Alice nodded before they drove to his house and then parked in the driveway before heading into his house .
Adam said to his parents " Hey mom dad this is Alice we just met a few days ago and we're going to work on our homework OK?" with Kara looking at Alice before she said " OK and i want to say it's nice to meet you dear " while Luke nudged his son and said in a whisper " she's cute son i can see why you like her " with his son blushing before he shook his head and told Alice " come on i'll show you where the den is " and so they sat down before they worked on their homework for the time being . Once they were done Alice asked " want to play twenty questions or something ?" and Adam smiled before he nodded and Alice shook her head as she flipped her hair back before she said " OK so first what is your favorite books and movies or tv shows like what are your top 3 ".
Adam was thinking about it for a minute before saying " well for my favorite books i would say that they would be : The Song Of Fire And Ice , Harry Potter and Percy Jackson . now for my favorite TV shows i would say : Game of Thrones , Daredevil and Punisher " before he motioned to Alice and said " now what about you what are your favorites ?" with Alice making a thinking motion before she said " well for my books i would say " The Song Of Fire And Ice , some of the Harry Potter books and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest " now for my TV shows i would say Game of Thrones , Some of the Marvel shows too and finally Supernatural " with Adam nodding in understanding before he said " alright well i don't know about you but i'm kinda hungry you want anything ?" before he got up and Alice shook her head as she said " I have to leave but thanks ."
So Adam showed her the way out before he said " I'll text you or something and maybe we can do something soon like watch some movies or something you know ?" with Alice smiling and nodding before she replied " sure i would like that and so i'll see you later " before heading out to her car and so later on Adam was in the den just relaxing and overall having a good time .
