On that morning Adam was standing in front of his locker with a hopeful look on his face as he was excited about some important events that were to happen that weekend which were the party at Jessica Nicol's house and what he had been told that morning . After he had gone running he had met up with Sarah at the cafe to pick up his coffee before going to school and as he and Sarah had ordered their coffees they sat at a table near the door that led out to the parking lot before Sarah asked " I have a big proposal for you i am going to the Shadow World to meet up with some of my friends and see if they had any info on the missing part of your soul as well as what your grandfather is planning so i was wondering if you wanted to see the place where your parents grew up before they came to this place ?" .
Then as Adam thought " I would love that as i would meet many new people and see if i can increase my skills " the coffees were ready and so they picked them up before Adam said "let me talk to my family about this and i'll let you know " which Sarah nodded at . Anyway as Adam opened his locker and took out his books for the morning Alice was walking towards his spot before she kissed him and said " You OK ? you have that look on your face which shows me you're thinking hard about something " and Adam shook his head as he said " I've been asked if i wanted to go to the Shadow World and i need to talk to my family cause of it you know ?" which Alice lit up at . She then said " that's amazing can i come with you if possible ?" as they sat down in their seats before Adam said " i'll see babe " as the class started.
The day went on and so Adam sat down in Chemistry before opening his notebook and taking out the homework for the class while Charlie sat down next to him and whispered " Alice said you had some invite somewhere ?" before Adam nodded and wrote down the notes for the lesson before he whispered back " I'll tell you later " which Charlie nodded to and they continued working on their notes . The bell rang a few moments later and then Adam was walking next to Charlie as he said " Sarah invited me to go to the Shadow World and i want to talk to my family about it i mean i would like to see where i would have lived in but at the same time i am worried you know ?" which Charlie nodded at before he fist bumped Adam and said " I'll catch you later man " as he walked to his next class while Adam was heading to the lunchroom .
Sitting down with some food Adam opened his notebook to work on his current homework for the time being while Alice stood on line for her food and as he was jotting down some info on the state of the world after World War 2 Alice then plopped down before asking " How you feeling after being asked about going to the Shadow World ? Be honest with me babe i'm not one for taking BS you know that right ?" with Adam nodding before he stretched out and said " I'm nervous yet hopeful it will be interesting for me you know ? i want to learn more about the Shadow Beings but at the same time i won't want to get killed or something " as he swallowed some Pepsi before finishing his homework which Alice said " Hmm i see your point " .
Then Adam got up before heading to the dessert line as he had finished most of his food by that point and so as he grabbed two cookies and then paid for them he stopped as he felt the mark on his chest pulse for two times before he said to himself " Wonder if that has anything to do with the power i have been feeling recently " and handed one cookie to Alice as he sat down before they chatted about different things until the bell rang . Adam was soon heading home before he would be going out to the party and so as he headed to the den to finish some writing before he would be getting ready he then sent to Sarah " i'll tell you about what my parents said about the trip to the Shadow World when i get the info OK?" before getting into the shower and then dressed for the night .
Then as he walked out to the car he turned before saying to his parents " we need to talk about something important later so i'll be home soon OK?" with Kara nodding and saying " Have fun sweetheart " while Luke wrapped his arm around her shoulders and waved as well before Connor who was going out to the party too said "Adam let me know when you're on the way to the house with Alice OK?" and Adam fist bumped him before they drove out of the driveway and then Adam pulled up in front of Alice's house which was medium yet homely . Adam then kissed his girlfriend on the lips before they headed to the house and as they drove to it Adam asked " you ready to have some fun tonight ?" with Alice smiling and nodding as she said " yeah it's good to get out tonight you know ?" before they parked at the house which was big and colorful looking .
Adam knocked on the door before Jessica came to the door and smiled at them as she said " Hey guys please come in " as Adam grabbed his girlfriend before they walked into the house and they turned to get a good look at the lady of the house . Jessica had brown curly hair with green eyes and a lot of friendly and perky mannerisms which made Adam and Alice at home and so she said " OK so the food and drinks are in the kitchen which is right here " as she pointed to the room in front of the couch that was next to them before she said " then there's the bathroom " as she led them through the house to the room in particular and finally she showed them the rest of the house before going to help out anyone that needed it .
Adam and Alice got their drinks before they walked around and chatted with their friends for the next few minutes before they decided to go dance for now . Adam pulled his girlfriend closer to him before they kissed as they danced to different songs before they then decided to get some fresh air for a while . Then later that night they went home before Adam finished his routine for the night and went to bed with the idea that he would talk to his parents the next night .
