As Adam's body hit the ground a few moment's later Connor sprung into action and then took out his brother's phone before calling Sarah who he had met sometime in the last month and so as Sarah was working out in the weight room of her manor she immediately got off the pull up bar before she walked over to her phone and answered with the speaker saying " Hello Adam is that you?" before Connor said " No it's his brother look someone shot him and we're at the school so can you help us ?" with Sarah saying in a worried tone " Yeah i'll be right there hold on " and then got her gear before hopping in her jeep and then drove to the school all the while one thought was in her head " Don't worry i'm on my way ".
As she pulled into the school Sarah got out of the vehicle and then headed over to where Adam was before she whipped out her phone and called 911 where she had a conversation with the receptionist and they soon had a ambulance bringing him to the hospital in the next few minutes and as they all sat in the vehicle Connor asked " So how will he get better if we're "special " you know ? like how will he be treated ?" before Sarah said in a reassuring tone " the energy we use for our skills is only that : energy and so all it will possibly take is some blood and he'll be fine " which made Connor feel somewhat better and so Adam was brought into the emergency room to be worked on for the time being .
Then as they stood in the hallway a nurse said to them " You can wait in the waiting room and me or another nurse will come alert you " with a understanding look on her face which made Sarah nod and say at the same time " Thanks a lot we're going to be here " and then sat down before whipping her phone out and then sent two texts to Layla and to Kara . At that moment Kara was sitting at her office before she said with a gasp and her hand coming to her mouth " WHAT!? you're not kidding right ?" as she sent that message to Sarah who then responded with " No you're son has been shot and we're at the hospital so come when you can " before she looked up and saw Layla walking towards her as she had a worried look on her face .
Layla hugged her friend before whispering " what happened ? do you know anything ?" before Sarah shook her head and bit her lip as she said " no only that he had been attacked as he and his brother and friend were heading home plus i think this was done out of impulse or something you know ?" with Layla nodding in understanding as she sat down before Luke and Kara came up to them with Kara tearfully asking " will he be OK ?" . Sarah looked over at Connor and Charlie before she said " no we haven't heard anything yet so just stay with us OK ?" with Luke nodding before he whispered into Kara's ear and they sat down with Kara's sniffles ringing through the room . Eventually a man with a kind looking yet serious face came up to them and asked " Hello there are you all Adam Scott's family ?" .
Luke said " No but me and my wife are his parents as well as his brother is over here what can we know ?" with the doctor shaking his head. Then he said " your son is in need of a transfusion and so i was wondering if one of you could come with me as you could match his blood type ?" before Luke said " i'll go as i match his blood type " and so they headed into a room before Luke gave his blood and then it was transferred to Adam's body for the next hour before Adam was then in better chances . Later as all of the family members went home Luke and Kara laid in bed and hoped that Adam would be alright without knowing of the future events that would come up cause of this .
At the same time in Adam's hospital room a portal opened and a man walked out before holding out his hand and then said in a whisper " I wonder what you'll do with this gift but it's a pity i won't be here to see it " as he then placed his hand on Adam's head before the hand glowed and then energy flowed into Adam before the man apparently fell into ashes and was blown away with no one the wiser .
