As Adam walked into the bathroom that morning he found his brother brushing his teeth while practicing his skill at employing his Shadow Energy with a concentrating look on his face and so Adam asked " So how are you coming along with your abilities ?" before Connor spit out the toothpaste in the sink and said " pretty good surprisingly i mean i don't have your skill level so I've been trying every bit of time to get more and more practice in you know ?" and Adam chuckled before patting his brother's shoulder and said " I know i seem more talented than you but don't give up you have your own skills and talents and i know you will get to my level soon enough all we need to do is practice and take you out for experience is that cool with you ?" with Connor hugging him in gratefulness .
Connor was then breaking away from his brother before whispering " Thanks bro um you know i am not jealous of you for being more skilled than me right ? i know i am my own person and i have my own powers and skills so i have no reason to hate you " which Adam smiled at and then they sat down at the kitchen table before digging into their bowls of oatmeal for the next few minutes . As they ate their food Luke and Kara walked into the room and sat down besides their sons as they all had a nice family breakfast for the time being and as Luke swallowed some coffee he asked Connor " did you start learning about your abilities so far or have you started slowly ?" before Connor swallowed some oatmeal in the next moments.
Then he said " yeah we began to train in using the energy and now i'm working on slowly getting used to it you know ?" with Luke nodding at his wife before she said " Well if you need help let us know OK sweetheart " and the two brothers finishing their food before heading to the car and then Adam drove them to the mall before they parked and then headed into the mall to get a few things for the day . As they headed over to the stylish and cool store for young adults which was called " Styles for everyone " Adam took out his phone before he texted Alice with " I'm at the mall so if you want to meet me and Connor here we'll be around ok ?" and so as he put his phone away Adam then headed into the store before checking around for anything interesting as the store was big and full of different merchandise .
Eventually Adam grabbed some shirts and pants before heading to the dressing room and then took off his shirt before trying on the first shirt which was a black Henley shirt that looked like it fit him well and to his amazement it did fit him in a good way so he chose to get it before he tried the other shirt and found it didn't feel like it would suit him so he put it away and then picked out a new set of earbuds before paying for them and then met his brother out by the railing before he said " What did you get bro ?" with Connor showing off some new shirts and sneakers he got from inside the store and so Adam smirked before they walked to FYE where they then looked around for a few moments before Adam picked out two box sets of Luke Cage and Daredevil on Blu Ray and then also picked up a copy of Set It Off's " Upside Down " which was a great album.
So as he waited for his brother after he paid for his items he found his phone going off with a call from his girlfriend so he said " Hey babe what up ?" before Alice giggled in her phone and said " nothing much babe just wondering if you can come over later you know if you're not doing anything important " which Adam thought about it for a moment as he seemed to not recall anything before he said " no i got nothing important so i'll come over later or you can hang with me at my place ." But as Adam closed the message he suddenly felt a very ominous feeling through his body which made him worried about his girlfriend for that moment and so he said " Bro you ready to go home soon ?" with Connor nodding as he said " yeah let's get some food first OK ?" before they headed to the food court .
Then as they stood on line for a slice of pizza Adam took out his phone and called his girlfriend who picked up the phone and asked " what's up ? " before Adam said in a worried tone " Babe i had this feeling that something is going to happen to you so keep a eye out OK ?" and Alice crinkled her eyebrows before she responded " OK sure babe i'll be safe and see you soon " before Adam sat down with his slice of food . Once they were done Adam and Connor walked around for a few more times before heading home where Adam went to meet up with Alice but as he headed up to her house Adam saw Alice standing at the driveway with what appeared to be Dariux standing behind her and so he said " Don't please don't hurt her " before the man shook his head and then stabbed Alice in the back before she fell to her knees.
So Adam went over to her before calling the hospital and then later as they headed to the hospital he was also calling Connor and Sarah before he said " I'm heading to the emergency room Alice was attacked and i want to make sure she's OK " which Sarah said to him " go be with her we'll see you later " and so Adam sat in the waiting room to see if she was OK .
