As Athena sat in the living room of her mansion, she couldn't help but think back to how Katherine Jackson said that she and Michael were so similar the other night. The night when Athena met the entirety of the Jackson family under one roof. Athena had always been a complex person.
But with age, came maturity and wisdom; though for Athena, those things came to her in time, but so did insecurity in herself. She didn't believe in her singing ability as much as she should; her skills were unparalleled and many knew that. Even her own family. Which is why they were always pushing her to do things she wasn't interested in doing.
Touring with her sisters in Sorelle as she had done in her youth, photoshoots for magazines, and interviews, and they have even been pushing her to write and produce another album with Sorelle.
In her mind, she wanted nothing to do with them. She just wanted to focus on her career in other things, such as her dance and choreography gigs—not the careers of her sisters, who used her for fame and money her whole life. And it wasn't just her sisters, it was her mother too.

"Athena!" Kayden, the raven-haired woman's older brother, came almost skipping into the house.
"Kayden!" Athena exclaimed back, playing along with his happy attitude.
Athena immediately raised an eyebrow at this revelation, "An experiment?"
"Yes! It's a romantic experiment!" Kayden smiled at his younger sister, "It's called Married at First Sight."
"Kayden," Athena said sternly, "You cannot be serious."
"I am!" Kayden said as he leaped onto the couch.
"Oh my God. Kayden!" Athena exclaimed, in genuine concern for her brother, "You don't know this person! What if they're a serial killer?!"
"I'm sure they do background checks, Hena!" Kayden rolled his eyes, understanding where she was coming from, but knowing that the professionals would not allow a serial killer to get married at first sight.
