She gave me the look just as when she was getting close.

"Your best friend's coming. You know what to do Miss Archer."

I suck my lips in, getting nervous with the lie I'm going to tell her.

Tippy stands in front of us, happy face and vibes, "Hey guys." She says.

"Hey." Shawn replies as he slides his arm behind my back and scoops me close to his body.

"H-Hey Tips.." I utter in a tone like calling for help but she doesn't have any clue about the real thing.

"Wow.." she says in amazement, appreciating the two of us.

Shawn smiles, "What's up?" He asks.

"Oh, yeah. Uh—" she presses her lips and swallows, "I should be asking May but since you're her boyfriend that I honestly did not expect my wish would come true for her, can I take May for a second? I just need to talk to her regarding the event."

Shawn slowly slides his arm off my back, "Sure. Just don't have her away from me for a long time. I tend to get really sad and depressed whenever she's not on my side."

Tippy looks at me, looking very happy, for him, for us. I didn't say a single thing and just walk towards Tippy in a quick pace.

"Don't take too long my girl." Shawn told Tippy.

I don't know if I'm going to feel uneasy, wanted or blushed even if it's an absolute fake act.

We move away from where he's standing. The sun's covered with clouds and it's getting a little windy but fresh.

She pokes me with her elbow, "Didn't know you got that boom boom in you girl."

"Huh? What boom boom?"

"Nothing. Hahahaha! So since when did you guys started dating?"

Wanting to tell her the truth that it's nothing but a deal to convince him to take the challenge for the singing charades but cheating and not following the rules of the deal isn't me. He told me we're going to pretend to be a couple for four weeks instead of three. Fooling everyone is his plan, but Luke my future husband is free from that lie for weeks until it's done. Though it's not good to lie to my best friend, I still did. For the sake of the deal and for the sake of my life.

I close my eyes in guilt and breathed heavily, "Remember the time when he's with me at the lockers in the hallway?"

"Yeah, yeah, I do!" She says excitedly.

"That night, he asked me if he could date me."

She tilts his head in wonder, "Wait.. wasn't he like.. a jerk to you? You told me he's a jerk."

"Yeah he is. He still is. Until now." I said nodding my head, "I don't deny that. It happened when he texted me, telling me that he likes me. I mean, I told him to stop but he's very eager to make me his girlfriend.. so.."

She screeches not in an awful noise but in a way she's happy and excited, "Girl, I just wanna say something.." She bumped me and yelled, "FINALLY!!"

I look behind me to check if he's heard her screeching since we're not that really far from him.

"TIPS!"
