The summer at the burrow went by too quickly
I spend the entire of it playing quidditch with the Weasley's and playing their piano upstairs
The only one who ever bothered me while I played was the ghoul that took over their attic
He was good company, he stayed quiet and I even saw him dancing while I played
I did often hear footsteps outside of the attic door, but noone ever came in

I wrote to Draco daily, he wasn't having as great of a summer as I was. I visited him a few times in Diagon Alley, he looked so alone
Part of me wishes I chose to stay at his manor but he insisted I go here instead

I lettered my dad a few times in the beginning, but he never replied
Every letter I sent to him just got forwarded back
Everyone knew it hurt me to see that, so they didn't ask after the first time
He doesn't want me in his life, I get it I'll leave it at that
Sirius even wrote to me, but my dad didn't
I have people who want to spend time with me, I have people who love me. It's taken me a while to get here mentally, I won't let myself be brought down by others anymore

I'm back in the attic playing the piano
I wrote this song while I was here this summer, Ginny often looked over my shoulder while I wrote it but she stayed silent when she saw I was busy

The keys in the piano were old, but loved
No one else talked about playing, I wonder how this ended up here

I started humming as I played each key, the ghoul came by to see me and started moving around the room like he usually did when I played

I left the window open, I liked to get fresh air when I was in here
The wind coming in through the window helped me to feel more in tune with my songs

"Wise men say, only fools rush in. But I can't help falling in love with you. Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you. Like a river flows, surely to the sea. Darling, so it goes some things are meant to be"

I started singing softly and humming my lyrics again

"Take my hand, take my whole life too. For I can't help falling in love with you" the door opened slowly

I stopped playing and turned around
Fred slowly walked in and then closed the door
He turned around and looked at me
"Please keep playing" he said

I moved over on the piano bench and ushered him to sit beside me
He came over as quietly as he could to sit with me
He looked at the piano
"It was my grandmother's, she used to play before she lost her fingers to arthritis. She gave it to us, but no one ever played anything on it. My mum tried learning, but with 7 kids running around she never got the time "

"I can teach her" I said and then I hummed while playing with the keys again

"She would love that" he said watching my fingers move around on the keys

"Are you the one who sits outside the door?" I asked playing

He chuckled
"Yeah, I tried being quiet but I failed obviously. Mum joined me sometimes...can you play that song you were singing?"

I nodded my head
I began humming to the sound of the piano again and when I got my voice back into the song I sang again
"Like a river flows, surely to the sea. Darling, so it goes some things are meant to be. Take my hand, take my whole life too. For I can't help, falling in love with you"

I continued to play song after song, and when I didn't sing or hum I heard Fred pick it up. He never fully sang, but his hum was on key and beautiful to listen to.

"That first song was beautiful" he said watching me close the piano for the night

"Thank you" I said trying to hide my blushed face

"Did you write it this summer?" He asked, I heard his voice crack slightly when he asked as if he was nervous to ask that question

"Uh...I did yeah" I looked outside
It was twilight now, the sun was done setting and the moon was gone for the next few days
When the moon was gone, I found myself sitting by my window or outside and enjoy the night sky's dances

"Ok yeah it's uhm cool" he said then he turned around and I heard him smack his face

"You ok?" I asked walking around to see him

"Oh I'm fine thanks Love—Cora Cora thanks Cora" his face was bright red now

I raised my eyebrows and looked at him curiously
"Is there something on your mind? A thought for a thought?"

I took his hand and sat down at the piano again
His hands were clammy, I've never seen Fred so nervous

"You first" he said not making eye contact with me

"I'm thinking that I should have taken you up on every offer you ever made me to stay here. I've never been calmer, I haven't thought about drinking since I've been here. Not once. I wanted to leave that day at King's Crossing, I wanted to find a way to escape before i could be brought here...my plan was to go to the Leaky Cauldron again and drink all summer. I'm glad I ended up here instead"

"I didn't know you wanted to drink again" he said

"It was the only way I could escape my head, but I don't feel like I need to do that anymore"

"I'm glad" he said

"Your turn" I said smiling and then I kissed his hand

Fred took a deep breath
"Cora I'm thinking that—"

The attic door slammed open and George and Ginny came running up to us
"Look what dad got for us!!" He said shoving tickets into Fred's face

Fred's blushed cheeks left and he dropped his face
He looked annoyed
"What" he said taking the ticket from George
He jumped up from the piano bench
"No way!" He yelled

"Right?!" Ginny said "he got tickets for the Quidditch World Cup!! We leave next week, he has enough tickets for Harry and Hermione to come too!!"

I smiled for them
"I bet you are going to have so much fun"

George looked at me oddly
"You don't want to go??"

Fred turned to look at me

"I assume there is enough tickets for you all, it's ok I don't mind staying home"

He grabbed another ticket from his pocket
"Cora you're going, he got enough tickets for all of the family to go. Except mum she doesn't care for the sport, Charlie Bill Percy, all of us"

I didn't take the ticket from him
"I can't pay for it though"

"Neither can we" George said laughing "dad got them for free"
He pushed my ticket into my hand
"You're coming with us let's go celebrate with Ron downstairs come you two!!"

George grabbed me and Ginny grabbed Fred
I'll have to get that thought out of him later
