"You did so great!!" Ginny said coming up to hug me
A big celebration was being held in the common room tonight for Harry and I
Mostly for me, but it seemed like everyone was accepting Harry as a champion as well now
"First place, what a show" Seamus said squeezing my shoulder "I'd jump into the lake to have you save me any day"
I laughed and lightly pushed him
I felt someone watching me and when I looked around I saw Fred watching us
"5 cheers for Cora and Harry" Seamus said picking me up, distracting me from my own thoughts
Seamus and Ron held me on their shoulders while Dean and Neville held Harry up
They began chanting our name and throwing us up into the air
The room was filled with excitement and happy faces
The pumpkin juice was spiked so I avoided it, Hermione was sure of that
But even with Fred and me breaking up I didn't feel the need for it
I was happy
I loved Fred, I still do but I have so many friends now

"Hermione" I said looking over at her after Seamus and Ron put me down
"Yes?" She said concerned
"Am I where I am because of Fred's influence?"
She took my hand and pulled me into a corner where no one was paying attention
"Yes. But that's not a bad thing really it's not"
"But I didn't get here alone"
"I didn't either" she confessed looking at Ron and Harry who were chugging juice "those idiots helped me too"
I looked over at Fred who was with George and Lee
They were laughing but I felt Fred's energy shifting a few times tonight
One being now
"Do you think I would have been here alone?"
"No, you were lost. But you're found now" she held my hand tightly "you have friends now because Fred helped you out, but you have them still because of you"
"Thank you" I said squeezing her hand back
Care of Magical Creatures was our first class back after the tournament
But Hagrid wasn't teaching today, it was Professor Grubbly-Plank
"Where's Hagrid?" Harry asked us
"Rita wrote about him being half giant..." Hermione said looking at the Professor Awh the class with a unicorn
"Was anyone really surprised about that?" Ron asked
Hermione glared at him
"Why's that a problem?" Harry asked
"Because people are prejudiced about giants" I answered watching the unicorn move around gracefully to each student
When she neared me she smiled softly and let me pet her head
"Excellent" the Professor said "did you know it is good luck when a unicorn chooses you?"
"I didn't" I said staring into her blue eyes
She looked content with my hand on her soft neck
"With the last challenge coming up in a few months I bet you could use all the luck you can capture"
"Definitely" I said
I looked around and everyone was watching me be blessed by the creature
Draco looked...softer than usual
His features were calm and easy going
I smiled at him and he matched it
"Do people really care about him being part giant?" Harry asked watching the unicorn go to him
She sniffed his hand and then continued on
"Unfortunately yes" Hermione answered
"This is an easy class we should be counting our blessings" Ron said
Hermione punched his arm
"Hagrid is our friend ass"
"Did you see the paper?" Neville asked coming up to us
We all shook our head
He handed it to us
The front page was about Hagrid's blood heritage
Hermione and I rolled our eyes at it
We opened it to the tournament pages
Rumor has it that Cora Yaxley cheated during the second tournament
How? You ask
That's what I'm going to find out
How else would she have finished in five minutes, and out of all of the challengers she's the least athletic
Harry chuckled
"She clearly hasn't seen you play quidditch"
"Shes desperate for attention" Hermione said annoyed
"I think it's funny, at least it's not about my love life anymore"
"Uh" Ron said "keep reading"
I sighed and took the paper back
What was once a happy couple has seem to be no more
Fred Weasley and Cora Yaxley broke up the day of the ball
Rumor has it she cheated on him as well, we will see what comes from that
She was seen with Draco Malfoy entering the ball
Could he be the winner of this love tournament?
I took the paper and began shredding it
"She's awful"
"I know" Hermione said
I walked away from my friends and over to Draco who was rolling his eyes at Goyle and Crabbe who were chasing floating treats that a few Gryffindors were enchanting
"Did you see the paper?"
"No" he said taking his eyes from them to me
Again his features softened
"Why?"
"I'd show you but I shredded it in anger" I said
He laughed
"That bad?"
"Rita said I was cheating on Fred, and that you're "winning the tournament of my love""
He laughed again
"It's all bullshit, don't let her get to you"
"I'm going to try"
He placed his hand on my shoulder and squeezed
"Really it's not worth it"
I felt myself smiling again
"Yeah fuck her"
"Exactly"
The unicorn came back to me and waited for me to pet her again
"So much luck" the Professor said "25 points to Gryffindor"
"She likes you" Draco said trying to pet her but she shrugged him off
"Creatures love me for some reason"
I continued to pet her soft face
She was pure white, all but her horn that glistened with specs of blue like her eyes
When I looked from her to Draco I saw him watching me
"I can't blame them it's hard not to"
"Hard not to what?" I asked
He cleared his throat and put his hand through his hair
Like Fred used to
"It's hard to not love you"
