You: I can't

Tom: And why not? Do you not want to go to New York?

You: I do, but I just can't right now

Tom: You haven't been eating, haven't been sleeping—

You: Alright Tom! I know, I lived through it

Tom: But why?

You: I DON'T KNOW!

Tom: Yes, you do

You: No, I don't

Tom: No more secrets, let it out

You: Fine! It was like my nightmare coming true...

Tom: What? You said those were about your family

You: Well, my family was directly involved

Tom: What did you think?

You: That you weren't going to come back...

Tom: How could you think that? I married you, didn't I?

You: I don't know, maybe to get away from my family

Tom: I don't care about them, I care about you y/n

You: I don't know how you can't worry about them

Tom: Because we've been through so much, that it can't be much worse...

'You move closer to Tom, and lay your head on his shoulder'

Tom: Tomorrow's an important day

You: And I've already messed it up

Tom: We don't know that yet

You: I do though. I should've done more, but instead, I did less

Tom: It's okay. Get some sleep now shortie

'You fall asleep in Tom's arms. This is the first time you've slept in a week'

Tom: Hey, it's time for your appointment. I already laid out your clothes, so all you have to do is bathroom stuff

You: Thank you, Spidey. Can you help me up?

'He takes your hand and pulls you up'

Tom: Need anything else?

You: Uhh no, I'll be okay

Tom: Okay, I'll go make breakfast

'You get ready to leave and head down for breakfast'

Tom: Here, I made your favorite

You: Thank you

'You and Tom finish eating then head to the car. On your way to your appointment, you start to get nervous because you know you messed up'

You: Alright, let's get this over with

'You walk in and the doctor is waiting for you in the lobby'

Doctor: Ready?

You: Yeah, can Tom be in with me or no?

Doctor: He cannot. We need to basically do another surgery to properly remove them

Tom: That's okay, I'll be right here when you're done

You: Love you

Tom: Love you too

'He gives you a kiss and you head off'

Doctor: Okay, are you ready?

You: Yeah, let's do it

'It takes about 2 hours to properly remove the stitches. When you're done, the doctor goes to tell Tom you're done'

Tom: Thank you so much

Doctor: I'll come back to get you soon

'The doctor walks back in to talk with you'

Doctor: Okay, I've got good news and bad news

You: Oh?

Doctor: I'll give you the good first. You're all good to walk on your own, and to fly, but there's a possibility it may hurt, so be prepared. I already placed a prescription for pain killers for the pressure change.

You: And the bad news?

Doctor: If there ever comes a time when you're ready to have kids, you physically won't be able to

You: Why not?

Doctor: The bullet went in right at the bottom of your belly, damaging your reproductive organs. There is also a chance that in the future the scar tissue could cause issues

You: That's okay, there's plenty of children who need homes

Doctor: Yes, there are. I'll walk with you to Tom, and you're good to go

You: Thank you for everything

'The doctor walks you back to Tom and he gives you a big hug'

Tom: Thank you, doctor!
