Lisa stopped in his tracks, his gaze fixated on the approaching ghost. He wanted to know how close she was able to approach him.
As he was observing Irene, she was also looking at him. To be exact, she was looking at that which was surrounding him. There was a shroud of different energies—convoluted black shadows containing the resentment of ghosts, human malice and even the sparse spiritual energy from nature. They combined to form a weirdly harmonious pure energy body despite the amalgamation of different energy types. If she was to quote her master, this shroud of black shadows was 'phenomenally black'.
Ever since she arrived, Irene had been paying attention to the people in the city. The malice on their bodies were stronger compared to those in her village. She knew that this was caused by their extremely busy lives in the city and complicated interpersonal relationships—rage, grievance, misunderstandings and other kinds of negative emotions—creating even more malice on their bodies. After she entered Hai City, she could even spot such dark energies in every high rise building she passed by. However, this dark shroud in front of her right now was very pure and very likeable.
It was like a black and shiny pearl—powerful, beautiful and lovable by witches.
"Lisa!" Just when the two were staring at each other, the police officer who was recording Lisa's statement came running out from the police station, "You forgot your keys."
The police officer shook the keys tied to the access card in his hand.
Lisa walked back to retrieve the keys, "Thank you."
The police officer was still annoyed over Lisa's behavior during the recording of his statement. He warned him, "Next time you start bashing people up again, I'll definitely catch you."
"I wish you success," Lisa encouraged him.
"You... just wait and see." The police officer seethed and turned away.
Lisa laughed aloofly. He kept his keys in his pockets and continued on his way back home. He noticed that the female ghost did not move from her original spot. He spared her a glance but did not concern himself with her. He just roughed up an unlucky fellow earlier on and was in a bit of a good mood. So he decided not to bother with this extremely brave female ghost.
Just when Lisa decided to ignore the female ghost and cross the zebra crossing, she stepped in and obstructed his path. With a soft gentle voice, she called out, "My dearest husband."
Irene's excited eyes were shining brightly. Her master was right. Her future husband was impressively black—filling her heart with joy.
Lisa was stunned. With a perplexed expression, he stared at this female ghost who was more audacious than he initially thought. He was amused by her. He was used to meeting ghosts but today he actually met one who came to groomnap? As expected, girls from the ethnic minorities were all passionate and straightforward with their feelings.
"Follow me." Since young, Lisa had had a special body constitution causing ghosts to constantly appear around him. These ghosts who had gathered around his side did not wish to harm him. Instead, they coveted the Yin energy surrounding him. According to the ghosts, he was like a big mobile petrol station. As long as they were near him, normal ghosts and spirits would be able to absorb the Yin energy from him as nourishment while vengeful ghosts would become even stronger.
The female ghost in front of him did not have any resentment within her. In that case, she should be wanting to absorb his Yin energy to nourish her spiritual form. Usually even though ghosts like to come near him, they carried a scared expression. It was unusual to meet one who confessed to him. Thus Lisa decided to allow her to continue following him to absorb more Yin energy. After all, ghosts with good aesthetic senses were pretty uncommon these days.
