After enduring through the heaviness of this couple's public display of affection, Jisoo finally realized Irene's true thoughts. He could not help but to persuade her otherwise.
"Actually, you don't necessarily need to earn the same amount of money as boss. To be honest, even in the Metaphysical Association, not many Heavenly Practitioners can earn as much as boss. The Association periodically issues new missions. However, the missions' rewards usually do not exceed 100,000 yuan. Besides, missions that reward 100,000 yuan aren't very common either. Missions that reward in the millions are even rarer. Using my Senior Martial Brother Xu Wei as a reference, the period where he usually earns the most in a year is during the new year period. However, the earnings are only about a million yuan. After tax deduction, the actual amount received will not be much. Therefore, even if he risked his life to battle a malicious ghost for a month, the earnings gained are not even close to boss who just sits in front of the computer and writes stories for 5 hours straight. If you look at the reward for the liver-digging devil previously, it was only a bit over a million yuan."
The more Jisoo explained, the more he felt irritated and even had the sentiment of wanting to punch his boss. It was not surprising that the people from MA hated his boss-not only because boss was Ephialtes but hatred of his boss' wealth could probably be one of the reasons too.
"Your Metaphysical Association sure is useless." After working so hard for one month, they could not even compare to the 5 hours work of her dearest husband. Didn't this show that they are extremely useless?
Jisoo was utterly dumbfounded. He felt that he needed to clear the name of the association. "I'm just describing the general situation. We also have money-making projects in the association. For example, the few feng shui masters in the association earn money swiftly. Many rich business owners will look for them for feng shui consultation. Consultations can cost a few million yuan each trip."
"Feng shui? I don't know how to do that." Irene furrowed her brows in worry.
"Right. Everyone has their own areas that they are proficient in. Therefore, you shouldn't think too much into it. Besides, lady boss, your earnings aren't insignificant at all since each time you use a hidden witch technique, it costs 10% of someone's assets-perhaps one day you will encounter a billionaire as your customer? In that case, that one deal would earn more than what boss can earn in over 10 years." Jisoo consoled her.
"You are right." Irene sighed. She temporarily reconciled with the harsh reality that she could not earn more than her dearest husband. However, she felt one of Jisoo's statements was absolutely right. Perhaps one day she would meet a billionaire as a customer and earn back all the money in one shot.
Therefore, even though her earnings might not be stable, at least there was a chance that she could become wealthy overnight.
5.30PM IN THE AFTERNOON
Lisa came down from the second floor and discovered that Irene had bought an abundance of things. He did not ask any questions and instead even went over to help carry all the stuff on his own initiative. He only allowed Irene to carry the cat carrier.
"Where did this cat come from?" Lisa asked casually.
"Jisooya's cousin gave it to me." Irene replied. This cat was extremely temperamental. Even after giving it so many cat treats in the afternoon, it still continued to ignore her.
A gift from someone in MA?
"This cat is spiritually-inclined?" Lisa asked.
"Yes, this cat is very intelligent. It overheard me regarding it with disdain due to its pricey cost this afternoon and had been angry at me since then. I tried to use some meat jerky to make peace with it earlier on but it tried to scratch me." Irene replied.
