Military training began at the start of the new school term. Hai Cheng University's military training was conducted over 2 weeks and there was no rest period in between. On the second day of the school term, Irene was sent to the army camp in the city outskirts by the school bus.

The first 3 days of military training were the toughest. The university freshmen were tortured till they howled and wailed. Some students who had weaker physical conditions collapsed or fainted-their appearances were extremely miserable. However, it seemed that the 3 people in Irene's dorm room had excellent physical fitness and thus did not faint from heat stroke to date.

"Ah, my face! It has turned darker by 2 shades! How much money do I have to spend to bring it back to my original complexion?" Joy wailed tragically as she looked at herself in the mirror.

"There's still another week till the end of this hellish life. Why couldn't I just faint at least once?" Rosé did not even have the energy to go look at the mirror and was currently sprawled out on her bed

"If you eat lesser for your breakfast, perhaps you can get low blood sugar levels." Joy suggested.

"Life is already so harsh. I'd rather die if I can't have a full meal." Rosé lamented.

At this moment, Irene returned to the room from the public bath while carrying a basin. She looked entirely refreshed and energetic-her mental state was a stark contrast against the other 2 girls in the room.

"Aren't the two of you going to shower yet? The lights are going to be switched off in a while." Irene reminded them.

"Irene, aren't you tired?" Joy let out a heartfelt question she had been dying to ask.

"I was slightly tired during the day but I'm fine now after some rest." Irene replied.

"Your recovery ability is out of this world." Rosé was incomparably envious. She felt that she still would not be able to recover even after 3 days of bed rest.

"I was mistaken. When we first met you, we still thought that you were a pampered baby. Who would have thought that you are actually an invincible female King Kong." Joy almost spent all her energy just to stand up from the chair. She waved at Rosé, "Let's head to the showers."

If they still did not go to shower, the lights would be switched off and the water would soon stop running.

"Irene, pull me up." Rosé, who was lying on her bed, reached out her hand towards Irene.

With an expression filled with mirth, Irene walked over to Rosé to gently pull her up.

"I feel like I'm made of paper that can easily fly up every time you pull me up like this." Rosé sighed. She took a basin and towel from underneath her bed. Afterwards, she and Joy supported each other as they walked towards the public bathhouse.

Irene waited for them to leave the area before picking up Winter from her bed. She turned around and immediately ran down the stairs. She then ran out of the dormitory and towards the sports field where the military drills were conducted during the day while hiding from the patrolling guards to finally arrive at the edge of the field. From afar, she spotted an incomparably striking black glow at the southeast corner of the field.

Irene accurately ran in the direction of Lisa. "My dearest husband, I've brought Winter." Separated by the wire fencing of the sports field, she called out to him excitedly in a soft voice.

Irene just came out from her shower and had her wet hair sticking to her forehead. Moisture could still be seen all over her body. She looked clean and refreshed. She was currently squeezing Winter into a small bundle and trying to force it through the bottom of the metal fencing to pass it to Lisa.
