Chapter 136

The number of weather abnormalities did not cease after the huge snowfall incident in Y City. In the subsequent days, there were a few other cities which also experienced snowfall. Even though the amount of snow in each of those cities was not comparable to Y City's, the phenomenon was still abrupt. According to the local weather bureau, these cities should have experienced bright sunny days instead of snow in this period.

"In recent days, many cities in the south have experienced sudden snowfall. The local weather bureaus were unable to explain the weather anomalies... Looking at the geographical positions of these cities, the surge of cold air originated from Y City and is steadily proceeding towards the central regions. If we gauge the current speed of the surge, the next city to experience snowfall is most likely to be C City. The recent weather anomalies have caused many citizens to reflect on the natural environment.... There are many discussions and predictions amongst the netizens in regards to which city would this cold air surge would finally stop at...."

While the broadcaster continued reporting the news, Lisa sat in front of the television and stared at the map of China that was displayed on the screen. His gaze was focused on the location of Hai City.

If the final destination was Hai City, with that speed, it would arrive in another 2 days.

Could it be the little girl's father?

Ephialtes' powers on Lisa suddenly became restless, startling Winter which was lying on the carpet. The doll opened its mouth and swallowed the energies a few times on reflex. However, soon it became full and could no longer devour any more energy.

Winter was disappointed. It could no longer devour the black energies on its Father's body.

Lisa was not the only one who had noticed the destination that the cold air surge was heading to. MA also noticed it, or perhaps, it would be more accurate to state that MA was the one that had first discovered this.

When Y City experienced the sudden snowfall, the local MA branch in the city had sensed a terrifying ghost energy. However, Y City was only a small city in China, the total number of MA members in that city only amounted to slightly over 10 people. In addition, these members were not particularly proficient in metaphysical arts. Therefore, even though they had sensed the ghost energy, they did not have the courage to fight against it. All they could do was to report this incident to the headquarters and request for assistance.

However, by the time the headquarters dispatched their members to Y City to assist, the immense ghost energy had already vanished from Y City. Subsequently on the next day, the neighbouring city-Z City-also experienced snowfall. The MA members immediately understood that the owner of that ghost energy was on the move.

However, they did not know where he was headed. Without being able to ascertain the ghost's intended route, the MA members were unable to intercept him in advance. They could only follow after him by watching the weather's anomalies. They chased after the ghost for 3 whole days and travelled across 4 to 5 different cities before they could finally discern the direction the ghost was taking on the map.

"According to his movement route, if he does not take any breaks, he should be able to reach Hai City in another 2 days." Hai City's MA Chairman Qi Xiuran used a red pen to draw a long arrow pointing towards Hai City on the map.

"Have you ascertained the identity of the ghost?" Grandmaster Xu asked.

"No one has seen the ghost in person yet. However, if we take into account the remaining traces of the ghost energy left in Y City and that huge snowfall overnight, it would most likely be a... ghost king." When Qi Xiuran vocalized these 2 words "ghost king" out loud, the entire meeting room fell into a dead silence as terror filled all the meeting participants' faces.
