After the MA members were brought away for 'tea' at the police station, the atmosphere in the villa instantly turned serene. Lisa's mood lightened up slightly and nodded his head in the direction of Mina. Afterwards, he brought Irene along to get into his car.
"Wait, where are you going?" Mina noticed Lisa was leaving and hurriedly stopped the novelist.
"Home." Lisa answered.
"Explain the situation first before leaving." Mina refused to let them leave.
Lisa creased his brows in suspicion, "About what?"
"Of course it's about the matter of you coming to this villa. What came up during your investigation? Or did you find something?" Mina questioned.
The reason why Lisa was able to swiftly narrow down his search to this particular villa was based on the information that Mina had sent him. Naturally, Mina managed to spot the same suspicious point that Lisa had discovered amongst the expenditure records. After noticing it, Mina and his vice-leader Yang Ming rushed to the villa. When they arrived at the scene, they could spot Lisa and Irene from afar-this caused Mina to become more certain of the direction of investigation in this case.
His thoughts were very simple-if there was no issue with this villa, Lisa would not have come in the middle of the night. The inspector reckoned that the 3 men confronting Lisa were most likely the suspects of this case. Therefore, he asked Yang Ming to bring those 3 men back with them without hesitation.
"I did not discover anything." Lisa replied in a composed manner.
"Then what are you doing here?" Mina did not believe him at all.
"Just strolling around."
"You are being nonsensical now. On such a freezing day, you could casually stroll for miles to this remote place? And coincidentally, you bumped into your enemies?"
"I came out to find a cat." Lisa tried to give Mina a more reasonable explanation.
"Cat?"
Irene, who had been blocking Winter from others' view, immediately squatted down and carried it up, together with the black cat. She brought them to Mina. "This cat. This is our pet. Its name is Big Tiger. Isn't it cute?"
Earlier on when Mina got off his car, Irene was afraid of Mina witnessing the bizarre scene of a doll carrying a cat and thus she immediately took a step forward and blocked Winter from his view. Winter, too, was very obedient. It stood motionless the moment it was aware of the appearance of a stranger.
"Such a fat black cat. Could it be a ginger cat that had its fur dyed?" It was the first time Mina saw such a fat black cat and could not help but make fun of it.
"Mreow!" The black cat was enraged. If its 4 limbs were not broken, it would have harshly slashed the face of the man who dared to call it fat.
"This cat sure has a bad temper." Even though Mina had seen the cat, he still did not believe Lisa. "You were looking for your cat? Your pet cat got lost and ran all the way here?"
"Yes." It was Irene who had nodded her head this time. Besides, she indeed was not telling a lie. Didn't Big Tiger run this far? It's just their Big Tiger was not an ordinary cat that's all.
Mina took a deep breath. He felt that this couple were mocking his intellect. "Guys, I just helped you earlier. Besides, didn't you manage to find out about this place because of the information I sent you? We are all investigating the same case and thus have the same goal after all. Can't the 2 of you cooperate with the police? Furthermore, even if you refuse to divulge any information, I would definitely find out as long as I want to. If you could just cooperate with me, I can save some time. Every minute that I saved is every minute less for the culprit to escape free and unfettered."
