Even though the domineering CEO style was outdated, it was useful in this situation. Irene did not reject him after hearing his words, and cheerfully agreed. "In that case, let me absorb your dark energies once a week."

Once a week... That meant that he could only sleep peacefully 4 times a month?

Lisa was constantly on the verge of having a mental breakdown as he had been suffering from chronic insomnia. He had never doubted that he would one day lose all control over himself and turn into a complete lunatic. Just like what those great practitioners from the metaphysical world always said-once he loses control, the entire world would be at risk. He always felt that his existence was unnecessary in this world. Trying his best to live would only cause others to be on guard against him. Yet if he lost himself to his power, he would only endanger the world.

But he still tried his best and struggled-not because he wanted to save the world-he just didn't like the feeling of losing control of himself.

Yesterday night felt amazing, he had never felt like that before. It made him realize that his only wish was to just have some peaceful sleep-even if it was just 4 nights a month.

As such, he decided to treat her with a little more patience.

"I'm about to start working. Do you want to stay here? Or do you want to head out to shop for more things?" Lisa let out a faint smile.

"I want to stay here." Strengthening the bond between her future husband and herself was currently her utmost priority. For shopping, she could do it at any time as long as her phone's digital wallet had money.

Lisa knitted his brows. He was not used to staying with another person in the same room for a long time. He deliberated a while before suggesting, "why don't you head downstairs to read some novels?"

"Novels?"

"Yep, they were written by me, do you want to read them?" He asked.

"Yes." Irene lit up. She didn't expect her future husband to be extremely talented.

"I'll bring you down."

Lisa brought her downstairs. When he passed by the main office area, he suddenly stopped as 2 voices sounded out in his mind unexpectedly.

"The lady boss looks so young. Is she even an adult yet?"

"She even called the boss her 'dearest husband'. The boss sure is kinky."

Lisa frowned, his brows furrowed. His gaze fell onto the 3 employees who were working at their desks. The voices in his mind soon disappeared. Out of these 2 voices-one was Seulgi's, while the other was Wendy's. Both of them weren't sleeping, nor were there any dreamscape resonances that he could feel currently. So why was he able to hear what they were thinking in their minds?

Could it be that his power had evolved again?

As Ephialtes, Lisa's power was initially based on the existence of humans' dreamscapes, thus he could only enter someone's dreamscape if that person dreamt after falling asleep. However, as he matured, his powers started evolving; dream resonance would occur when he met the owner of the dreamscape in reality within 3 days of entering their dreams while they were thinking about the events that occurred within. When that happened, he could hear their thoughts even if they were awake.

But he had never entered Seulgi's and Wendy's dreams. Why could he suddenly hear their thoughts?

"My dearest husband, my dearest husband!"

"Huh? What's the matter?" He returned to his senses, and noticed Irene tugging at his sleeve.

"Why did you stop walking?" She asked.
