Mina quickly reached the crime scene in his police car.
As the traffic police dispersed the crowd, Mina got out of his car, and walked closer to look carefully at the car model as well as the car plate number. He immediately froze upon having a closer look. His calm expression instantly turned grave. He took a few more swift steps towards the car and glanced inside with a single sweep. He then spotted a mobile phone underneath the car seat and picked it up. He tapped on the phone and the black screen lit up, showing a message from an unknown number on it.
He recognized this particular unknown number. This message was sent to Lisa by himself via Yang Ming's phone before he came over here. He sent a message to Lisa each morning these few days.
"Did anyone witness what happened?" Mina rushed to the crowd nearby and asked anxiously.
Yang Ming, who was currently in the midst of interviewing the witnesses, was perplexed at Lead Inspector Mina's sudden agitation. He chided secretly to himself, "Lead Inspector Mina had handled countless cases. Why would he get so worked up over a kidnapping case?"
"I-...I saw what happened. 2 cars suddenly rushed over, forcibly stopping this car from the front and the back at the same time."
"What do you mean 'forcibly stopped'? The black SUV that came from behind was speeding directly towards the driver seat of this car. It even crashed into it multiple times. I'm pretty sure it's a murder attempt."
"Right right right! Look at that seat, there are bloodstains on it. The driver must be hurt pretty badly."
"2 cars... what kind of vehicle was the other one? What was the car plate number?" Mina asked the person who had contributed to the conversation the most.
"It was a white van. The car plate number... I can't remember it." The person shook his head.
"What about the rest of you? Did anyone see the car plate number?" Yang Ming immediately turned his head around to ask the rest of the bystanders.
"I didn't notice."
"It happened too fast. We were all concerned about the people involved and not the car plate."
"Right, I think the drivers of the 2 vehicles had planned this. From the moment they crashed into this car to the time they fled, everything happened in a blink of an eye."
"Yes yes yes! They were also wearing masks and sunglasses, so we can't discern their features clearly. It was so frightening."
"How many people? How many people are in that group?" Mina immediately questioned.
"I only saw 2 people. They got out of the car and brought the person in this car away." The person that witnessed the happenings voiced out in a firm tone.
Afterwards, Yang Ming and Mina went around asking all the witnesses about the kidnapping process. The information they received were all similar. There were 2 vehicles. One was a white van who obstructed the car's path forward while the other black SUV purposely crashed into this car to forcibly stop its movement. Afterwards, 2 heavy-built men, who were wearing masks and sunglasses, alighted from the black SUV, forcefully opened the car door and brought the victim away.
"This looks like a premeditated kidnap case. I will confirm the identity of the car owner first and contact his family afterwards to see if we can find any clues." Yang Ming said and was about to walk towards the traffic police at the other side.
"This is Lisa's car." Mina suddenly commented.
"What!" Yang Ming stood rooted to the ground. He then instantly understood why Lead Inspector Mina suddenly became so frantic. Everyone in the division knew that Lead Inspector Mina had some friendly relations with Lisa.
