Ang Weird Lang

Hinde naman nakakatakot yung nakita namin ng bestfriend ko. It was 1989. Third year highschool pa ako noon. Nag-aral ako sa Stella Maris Academy dito sa Davao. Election of club officers that morning kaya lahat nasa gym. I asked my bestfriend, Janice to accompany me sa C.R. So naglakad na kami papunta doon. Tahimik, walang katao-tao sa first level corridor...but the last classroom (beside the C.R.) was open. HYidne pa kasi lumalabas sa klase etong section na ito. Anyway, I saw this hazy figure of a boy na tumakbo papasok sa classroom. He was sporting a page boy cut and long khaki trousers..inisip ko na baka klepto student or what (katabi nung classroom na may classes -pa sa loob)..so hinabol ko..I swear I heard the door shut after he got in. Hinde ko siya nakilala kaya nga hinabol ko. lolokohin ko sanang "huli ka!" which I did when I opened the door..pagbukas ko...****..WALA! WALANG TAO! Saan lumusot. Janice came up behind me and said "gaga..kita mong me klase pa sa kabila..." she took a peek and went pale. I told her, I swear Janice I saw him came in this door..sinara pa nga eh kasi I heard it shut after he got in...and he couldn't have went out the other door kasi sarado and we would know kasi we were the only people in the corridor.

hinde naman kami natakot pero it just felt weird...and even weirder...

The following week after the Monday morning's national anthem..our school directress requested everybody to spare a few minutes of silence for the an alumni who died recently because of a gun shot wound...fired a jealous girlfriend in Manila. We don't know who the poor chap was but our teachers soon after started talking and recalling this boy who was once their student..they made kuwento that he was the campus hearthrob back in the early 80's..I was probably in grade 2. So lunch time, Janice and I went to the library to check out the old yearbooks..I forgot his name na but there he was...cutee nga naman..parang si onemig bondoc with a page boy..

Oh ****...he was sporting a page-boy hair cut.

Now tell me...could he be?...
