Chapter 10: Some Quality Time

Shoto Todoroki's POV

Earlier, I had asked Freitas and Yui if they would like to hang out with me this weekend. Unfortunately, Yui was busy so it would just be Freitas and I. I wanted to make sure that we do something that she likes so I asked for her number. Well, I also needed her number to know where to meet up with her, but the first point was the greater reason. I didn't tell her, of course, because from what I have seen ever since classes began, she isn't the type of person who likes to make people work hard. I have noticed her do things she does not want to do, but she would do it for her friends. But when she needed or wanted to do something, she would say a quick, "Nevermind..." and go along with what her friends wanted.

She is such a thoughtful person and I want to make it up to her for the kind things she's done.

When I walked away from the two girls, I didn't notice earlier that I lightly blushed, and that now I was fully blushing. I made sure to cover my mouth to try to prevent whatever was happening.

What is this feeling? It can't be that feeling, right? Then why did I rub circles in her back then? Is that a thing that friends do?

I rolled my eyes and sighed out loud, By the way I've seen her and Kirishima act towards each other... they are probably together. I should just get these... thoughts... out of my head... and have a fun weekend with Freitas.

When I had arrived home, I got undressed and put on a white T-shirt and some jeans. I decided that I should go for a walk and clear my thoughts. Before I left my bedroom though, I remembered that I would have to plan our hangout. I sat down on my bed and took my phone out of my pocket. I began to text the number Yui had given me earlier.

Hello Freitas, this is Todoroki. I was wondering what you like to do in your free time.

To my surprise, she replied rather quickly.

Hey Todoroki! We can do whatever you like, I honestly don't mind!! 😁

I sighed and rolled my eyes. I knew she would say that.

Shoto Todoroki
I want to do what you want.

Vanessa Freitas
I'm sorry, but may I ask why?

Shoto Todoroki
I always see how you constantly do things your friends want to do, even if you don't like it. And even then, you never do things you like to do with them. I want to give you a break from that. So please, tell me what you like to do in your free time. It would make me happy.

It took about a minute for her to respond, but she did.

Ok then if it makes you happy...
I like to go to the library and read, it's very peaceful there. I also like to go on jogs and draw. I love to explore nature and other than drawing dance is my favourite hobby. I also like to take walks, they're very calming.
That's all I'm saying, k? You pick where we eat, if we're going to breakfast and/or lunch that is.

I smiled, Finally got my answer.

I stood up from my bed and started to make my way out of my room, when the sudden realization hit me.

I want to make this day perfect for her. She deserves it.

I made my way back to my desk and sat down. I screenshotted the text of her favourite activities and hobbies to save it for later purposes, as I pulled out my laptop and began to plan our hangout.
