Chapter 106: I Owe Her Everything

3rd Person POV

"AHAHAHAAAA!! The second match was a complete victory for Class B, huh?! Like at the school festival, Class B will win in the end!!" Monoma obnoxiously laughed before turning to face Midoriya sitting beside Ochaco, Mina, and Mineta, "But there's no need to feel frustrated about it, Class A. It's just that the difference in our abilities have been made clear!"

Monoma outstretched his arms and loudly started laughing again, but fortunately for the others, Kendo walked over with an 'are you serious' glare on her face as she karate chopped his nape and dragged him away by the back of the collar with an apology.

"He never changes, huh?" Mineta groaned while Mina looked upwards at Kendo walking away with a sulk, "I don't know why he does it when he knows she's gonna hit him." She sighed, and Ochaco chuckled nervously.

"Anyway, don't you think Class B's hiding a lot of monsters?" Kaminari suggested to Kaibara, who couldn't help but grin, "You could say the same about Class A."

"Fukidashi, I didn't know you could make something so big...!" Toru exclaimed to him in awe, who nodded, "My throat gets raspy, though...! But I just have to bear it!"

"It's obvious, but it's not just their Quirks— Everyone's mental growth has also made their Quirks stronger." Midoriya stated as he wrote in his journal with a bright smile on his face, his legs crisscrossed. "Wow, you're writing a lot, Deku!" Ochaco awed, looking over to the green haired boy, "You've grown a lot, too." "I hope so." He chuckled nervously.

"Nowhere near as much as me, though." Mineta spoke up, but Mina glared over at him from the ground. "I don't see it." "I'm not talking about height!!" Their little argument was however interrupted when All Might came over to have Midoriya meet with him privately, and so he left, leaving Ochaco and his other teammates in confusion.

"You excited for your match?" Vanessa asked her best friend as she turned towards her with a small smile, "It's coming soon." Miku huffed a chuckle with a smirk and glanced up at her boyfriend, "I think we'll do just fine."

"Better than fine." Bakugo menacingly chucked before he burst with 'evil' energy. "We're gonna kick ass!!" "Yeah!!" Miku roared, her and Bakugo wearing matching evil-grins. Oh boy... Vanessa worried as her face twisted into worry and fear.

Miku and Bakugo continued on laughing menacingly until the sandy blond suddenly spotted Midoriya walking off with All Might... alone.

"Hold on." He muttered with a stern glare on the two before discretely following them. "Katsuki...?" Miku questioned in confusion as he walked away.

"Is he fine?" Vanessa curiously asked with a slight head tilt, and Miku sighed. "I hope so." She slightly frowned, glancing down at her black heeled boots.

After a little bit of waiting, it was now time for round three.

"All right! Time for the next match!" Vlad King eagerly announced into his microphone.

"It's finally Iida's turn, huh?" Ochaco grinned, causing Midoriya to nod with a hum and a smile, "With Todoroki and his two wide-range attacks of flame and ice, Iida's speed, Shoji and his outstanding scout capabilities, and Ojiro, who's good at close combat, I think this is a nice, balanced team."

"Hey, Shoto...!" Vanessa called out to her boyfriend who had just started following his team towards the stairs leading into Ground Gamma, and he turned around. Struggling to successfully halt herself while going speedy on her crutches, she almost fell into his chest, however she managed to stand up straight.

"I just wanted to wish you good luck." She told him with a bright smile, which made him crack a small smile. Still, her smile soon faded and her expression filled with sorrow.
