Vanessa Freitas' POV

We had just come back from Nabu Island yesterday and Shoto and I were going to stay overnight at the Todoroki household. After hearing what we went through on the island, Fuyumi was very concerned and wanted to see us ASAP.

Speaking of Shoto's older sister, she was able to make the arrangements with Mr. Aizawa for us to stay overnight, since there was no way in hell we would be able to get Endeavor to do that for us.

The clock just chimed 5:00 p.m. about a minute ago. Still at the dorms, I sat down on the common room couch with my Airpods in and played Star Rail, ready and dressed.

My backpack sat on the cushion next to me, holding my butterfly PJs, another pair of clothes for tomorrow, my Artemis (Sailor Moon) slippers, my laptop along with its charger, my phone charger, and my medium-sized sketchbook. My Quirk drawing supplies were in the front pocket so they were easy to get just in case of an emergency. In the very front pocket was my medication, so it wouldn't get lost in the mess that was my backpack.

I wore a black strapless top that cut off above and underneath my breasts, like a top but also a bra in some way, allowing my scar from Chisaki to show. My pants were red with black and white stripes overlapping one another and my sneakers were black with white laces, a white curve design on the sides, and a white bottom. I knew all-too well that if I wore heels, Fuyumi would scold me to hell because of my crutches. To cover my bandaged bare arms, I wore a black crop top biker jacket with it unzipped. I also borrowed one of Miku's black chokers. I decided to let my hair be down.

"Vanessa." I heard my favourite voices call me. I paused my battle and looked up from my phone to find Shoto walking towards me. He wore a black buttoned up shirt, black legging jeans, his cyan and white school sneakers, and had his backpack on.

A sweet smile found its way onto my lips. "Going all black today, huh?" I chuckled as I shoved my phone into my pocket, grabbed my crutches from the side and stood up on them. Shoto adorably firmly tilted his head to the side, seeming to be confused, "Is it bad?"

"What—!? Of course not!" I panicked, since he wasn't getting it, and I chuckled in embarrassment, "I was being rhetorical." "Oh." He responded, but then softly smiled. His left hand cupped my right cheek and I fell into his touch with a relaxing hum. It's so warm... as usual.
