CATHERINE'S POV

Meeting new people was always challenging for me, but somehow, Charlotte made it look so easy and for once, I did not panic. Much. "Besides, Tony, it's Bruce Banner a very intelligent doctor that after a failed experiment he ended up mutating, he is the Hulk when he gets mad and whenever that happens, you have to run." She giggled at that and I did not know if she was joking or not. "Let's introduce you to the royalty." She said and I nodded excited. "Glad you could join us." Tony said and Charlotte laughed. "I needed to catch her up on you guys." She explained and I waved timidly. "She looks like a younger and naïve version of you." Pepper said teasing Charlotte and she giggled. "She's from the London's Institute." Clary explained and Tony seemed interested in that. "Does she?" I nodded and slowly, I started to actually talk to them and after a while, we started playing pool, or billiards, like we call it in London.

"I can't believe this." Bruce said as Charlotte finished throwing the balls. "It's amazing what a year can do." Charlotte added with a smile and Tony looked surprised. "I can't believe I have to host a party for you and your clan." Tony said and Clary just laughed at him. "You're throwing Charlotte's get-away party. We'll send the details later." Clary's words caught the attention of all them. "Excuse me?" Pepper said and Charlotte grinned like a five-year-old. "You finally decided where?" Tony asked and Charlotte just nodded. "I actually had a hunch for a while and today I just made up my mind." Her words warmed my heart and the Tony guy just went to hug her. "I'm gonna miss you, kiddo." All of them group-hugged her and after that we all went down to dance. The rest of the Shadowhunters had arrived and they were all enjoying the party. After a while, Bruce left and then it was Pepper.

By the time the sun was up, Tony drove us back to the institute and he looked confused on how we were happy to get into an abandoned church. "Someday, Tony. Someday." Charlotte said and he just shook his head and left. "And lastly, he's Thor." Charlotte said and I looked at her like she was missing a description. "Thor as the God of Thunder?" I asked afraid of being wrong. When Charlotte smiled, I knew I was right and I did not know what to do. It was a God. "So." I jumped when I saw Thor next to Charlotte. Izzy and Clary took my arms and pulled me to the church. "We're very tired; see you in a bit, Charlie." I was confused, but played along. "By the Angel, you're so naïve." Izzy said and I was confused, but after a few seconds I understood. "Ohhh." My understanding made them laugh and we all walked to our room. Izzy closed the door and I looked around. "What?" She asked following my glance.

"Charlotte said that we were supposed to share the room with a local and others Shadow Hunters." Izzy smiled and walked to the bathroom to take off her makeup. "Charlie had a soft spot for you and she changed the rooms, so we're together until the end of the meeting." I was happy to hear that. I took off the glamour and put my pajamas on and took off my makeup. It had been a great night and I loved how open these people were. I fell asleep almost immediately and woke up a few hours later, when Izzy whispered that it was breakfast time and then some workshops from around the world. I got up and saw that Charlotte was not in her bed. "She barely made it back." Izzy added with a smile. "She and Thor?" I asked and she laughed it off. "Up until last year it was extremely platonic as she was underage, but this year everything changed. They have a sort-of long-distance relationship. Or so we think. She doesn't really talk about it."

Her explanation left me even more confused, like if they were an officially a couple, then why sneaking out? Maybe Jace did not like him? Was he considered as a mundane? I let the topic go and just activated my energy rune as Charlotte got out of the bathroom and frantically searched for her clothes.
