CATHERINE'S POV

I was so confused, as far as I knew, no one knew about him besides us, but there was nothing I could say as she ran off. I knew I had to give her a bit of space, so I let her be alone for a bit and I got into some café, where I investigated this whole mess in depth. I paid attention to what the host was saying and I was even more confused when some images of Thor kissing some other girl appeared. There must be a solid reason as to why he was kissing some other girl. He always was true to his feelings so it was weird that he would have kissed her without breaking things off with Charlie. Unless. Unless, he thought that things with Charlie were not 'serious' and if he really thought that, I will kick his Mighty Ass. After a while, I decided to return to the institute. I looked for Charlie in our room and in the Green House, so I tried again in the training room and she was there, hitting some punching bag.

She was confused more than everything, he was his friend and now she did not know where they stood. "I really don't want to talk about it. We might be parabatai, but without the rune I'm not forced to talk about it with you." I heard her words and just nodded. "Pay attention to your right hook. You're bending before the blow." She was surprised for my reaction, but this whole year had taught me that she had a temper and you better respect it. After a while, we went down and as she took a shower, I looked for activities to get her mind off Thor. There were some concerts, not right now, but we could work with that. She got to the dinning room and she avoided Leon's cuddles, he noticed and I just sighed. "She's not having a great day." I told him to his mind and he stopped trying. I looked for concerts or things to make her feel better, but she still closed off every once in a while. Charlie was not focused and I really could not keep covering for her.

The rest thought it was because she was returning home, but I could see through her. I knew she was planning something and I just wanted to know what it was. "Okay, spill it out." I told her when she finished packing her personal belongings. "I know you're planning something." She stared at me for a whole minute and I just looked back at her unamused. "Fine." She added after a while. "I need to talk to Thor about this and he's not picking up calls." I nodded. "So." She said and stopped and sighed. "So, I'm portaling to Asgard." As she said that, I did not know what to say or do. I was in shock and she knew. "I'm not asking for permission, or comprehension, but I really need to know exactly what happened." I nodded and held her hand. "Let me go with you then." She was surprised and after she understood what I had just said, she nodded and smiled. "We have to plan this carefully; we have a very tiny window to make it work."

As I nodded, we started planning the trip and after a little bit, we were ready to go. I was anxious for Charlie, but at the same time, I wanted to see Loki. Charlie opened the portal and we walked around for a bit, before getting to where Thor was. "I still can't believe that the portal actually worked." She said and I was as shocked as her. "Before we do this, I have to tell you something." She said as we stopped near the castle. "Jace told me I have an ongoing mission." I nodded with a smile. "I'm leaving as soon as we get back." Those words swapped my smile away. "We still have a week." I said, knowing that if she was needed for a mission, she had to go. "I know. I'll do my best to sleep in London, but I need to go." I nodded understanding her position. "Well, we need this last mission to be outstanding, then!" I added, trying to be positive and not have a panic attack. Turned out, it was a really good way to avoid panic attacks.

"C'mon. This way, we can greet Father before looking for Thor or Loki." She teased and I blushed. "Oh, c'mon!" I giggled away from her, we were just being us when we found this marvelous woman outside the castle and with only a look, I knew she hated Charlie's guts. I could feel her jealousy and mockery levels going up, but Charlie was unfazed by all that.
