CHARLOTTE'S POV

Once everyone left, I fell on the ground. I had been so excited explaining everything that I had forgotten to sit down and now I was drained. I activated my energy rune to at least leave the tech room and be able to get to the room, but Cath caught me resting and she lay next to me. I mentally thanked that, because right then, I did not need a lecture, I just needed to feel supported to keep on going. When we got to our room, it was time to change the bandage and Cath was shocked that the wound was barely there. We joked about Thor and then Cath gave me the greatest news ever. We were supposed to get back to train and I had never felt happier to hear that. The following morning, we visited the doctor and she was impressed that the wound was gone and when she asked about how I had done it, I just replied that Magnus' magic was that good, the nurse said that I was okay to go back to normal as long as I took it easy.

Me being me nodded, but I knew that I would make my normal schedule, I was that stubborn. So, we trained all morning and I was really good. Cath did her best to conditionate my muscles and slowly I was getting better at training. Hours later, we went to take a shower and went to have lunch. I hesitated when we got to the doors, but after a long sigh, I just walked in with my head up high. To my surprise, there were not comments, dirty looks or jokes towards me. In fact, I got smiles and I almost freaked out. After lunch, we had the Tech Workshop and we kept working on the project. We had two weeks to get this out of the Shadow World. Each team was working in a marvelous way and I felt proud that everything was behind. It was a clean slate for me and the residents and it seemed to be on the right track. By night, we snuck out of the institute and just enjoyed a night out.

For the first time ever, Cath went to a mundane party and we danced the night away. By three in the morning, we returned to our room with a few bottles of beer. "We, as Shadowhunters can't get drunk, but you need to know the taste." I said and handed her a bottle. I knew Cath had never tasted something like that and I knew they were bitter at first, but as she tried every kind of them, she grew used to it. After that we rested for a little bit before starting a new day. It had been two weeks since we started to work on the app and now, we were giving it the last details before launching it within the Shadow World. At first, we would only launch it to mundanes, but to fix some last details, we decided to put it out on our world first. Downworlders and Shadowhunter were okay with being part of the trial. The publicity team had sent invitations throughout the world to invite another Shadowhunters and Downworlders for the local launch.

Among them, where the directors of the fellow institutes, Jace and Alec included. And I did not know how to feel about it. "Why do you have that face?" Cath asked and I paced around the room. "Jace and Alec probably are going to come here and I don't know how am I going to explain this whole mess?" I shot my words out and kept pacing. "Everything's fine, besides, right now everything is completely fine." Catherine explained and I tried to keep her thoughts. "I don't know. They must have found out the reason why Leon and his friend were kicked out of here." Cath took me by my shoulders and shook me a bit. "You really need to calm down." I giggled and breathed in. "Thanks, I needed that." Cath laughed at me and walked away. "Do you think this app is actually is going to work?" She questioned and I sighed. "It has to. We've put a lot of effort into this. Anyway, we need to get ready for tonight." Catherine groaned.

After she got out of the shower, I handed her some outfits for tonight, we had to be the hosts for tonight's event and we had to impress. "Do I really have to wear this?" She questioned for the hundredth time. "I swear to the Angel that if you keep asking that, I will punch your face!" After that I just got into the bathroom to get ready.
