CHARLOTTE'S POV

Honestly, I rather be reading or learning about technology than training. "Do we really need to train this early?" I asked as I got even more comfortable on my bed. "We already talked about this, Charlie. Besides, I don't think the director is going to be too happy if you skip your first session." I scrunched my nose and got up. As I closed the door, I realized I did not know where to go. I walked down the hall and stood in the top of the stairs. I walked down the hall and stood in the top of the stairs. The Institute was big enough to be maze-like and I clearly was way out of my league here. As I kept looking around, I got even more marveled over the architecture of the institute. Just as my own institute, London's had a glamour on so no one could actually decipher that it was some magical place. The Institute seemed like a regular, abandoned church on the outside, but everything changed once you were inside.

The Institute was glamorous like a castle and it felt like we were some kinds of royalty living there. It was so beautiful. Each room was big enough, almost like a small apartment and the light was dim, which made the environment feel warm and homey. The dining room was huge as London was one of the institutes that held Christmas parties and lots of people around the globe portaled themselves to it. "What are you still doing here?" Cath asked from the other side of the stairs, making me snap out of my thoughts. "I actually was lost. I haven't had the full tour yet." I confessed and Cath looked guilty. "I never mentioned where the training room was, I'm really sorry!" I walked to her and we both walked up the stairs. "The training room is in the attic." Her words seemed apologetical and I bumped my shoulder with hers. "For now, I just need to know where the training room is and the technological room."

We kept talking about my schedule as Cath was free until tonight, she had the night shift in the technological room. "I still think you got the worst schedule. The other boys have their afternoons free if they have surveillance at night." I just shrugged. I was in no position to argue as I was in probation; besides I was already in the black list for the Leon Verlac issue, I did not need more problems. Cath and I warmed up with a few laps around the institute. By the end of the first training, I was already on the floor. "I can't keep up with you." I said before putting my head on the nearest trash basket to throw up. "Now, I understand why you're the elite on the combat thing." My words were muffled as I tried to catch my breath. I had never throw up for a training and Jace trained me really hard. "It's just a matter of practice." Cath said as she was unbothered, not even a hair was out of place and I was too shocked to even react to her words.

When I could walk away from the bucket, I took a bottle of water and activated my endurance rune. "Ready to start your training?" As she said that my conviction fell out the window. "Beg your pardon?" I said as I thought we had already started the training. "You're kidding, right?" I questioned as I watched her smile. "I just need to see what I need to reinforce in your technique." I sighed and got up. Cath handed me some long stick to use as a weapon. I held it and balanced enough to make it my own. It was then when she threw the first blow. I managed as best as I could, but eventually, she caught me and I ended up on the floor with a loud thud. "You okay there?" She asked and I stopped trying. Cath had given Jace a piece of herself and he was the best in the institute. The morning passed by and I was slowly dying. Catherine had barely sweated and she was jumping happy all around the room.

"Activate your energy and pain rune, you have a class to teach now." Her words made me want to kill myself right there, but I smiled at her enthusiasm. I took a shower and got ready, hoping they were more like us in lunch terms. When I walked out, I saw Catherine walking around her underwear and dancing to some of my songs.
