CATHERINE'S POV

As she was showering, I started to think on the rest of the residents' reactions when they see Charlie and that made me feel angry. As I realized that I could not hit them for being stupid, I had a panic attack. After a little bit, I breathed out and looked at Charlie. "What happened?" she asked afraid of me having another one. "I'm afraid that I will punch someone or everyone." Charlie nodded, because she understood my worry. "I appreciate you sticking next to me, but you have to consider that I'm only a visitor here. After I'm gone, you will have to be surrounded by them once again. So, just have fun, okay?" I nodded as she was right and we walked out of the room. Everyone was already in the tech room and as soon as we walked in, everyone got quiet. I smiled and just walked to the front of the room with Charlie. "You'll be working in groups of four people and before you start looking at your friends, I'm designating the groups."

Everyone stared and for once, I felt like I had the upper hand here. "As soon as you hear your name, you walk to the front and take your place." Everyone nodded and I took the list of the resident and started calling their names as Charlie took a step back just to take a minute. "So, we're creating an app for mundanes." Immediately I saw the discomfort on some faces and I felt the need for Charlie to explain more. "Humans like to document everything they do or eat, so this app will help us to keep an eye of them." As she said that, some groups found the chore interesting. "This app will be a tool for us to do a better job. If you're not into doing our job, you're free to go." I spoke, knowing that it was a bold move, but no one even move. "Okay, now that we covered that. Let me explain our timeline." Charlie took over again and everyone listened to her commands and instructions. They all nodded and we all started talking about ideas for this new tool.

We had about three weeks to create the code, develop the server and launch this app to the mundanes. Each part of the plan had sub-parts, in which every team would work and if they wanted to approve the workshop, they would have to follow my instructions. "Remember, this is a team work, if one team fails, we all fail. If a group needs help, we all help." I handed out to each group their part and we all started working. By the end of the day, the app was ready on paper, now we had to work on the programming itself and everything an app needed or at least, that was what Charlie said. As everyone left, Evelyn took me outside and I grew nervous. I did not enjoy one-on-one conversations. "I know Miss Verlac is a victim, but do not over protect her. She is able to do everything and more." I knew that, but I was getting used to have her around and I did not want the residents to make her feel like she did not belong here.

"Be her friend, but she can fight her own battles. Train her hard, she's great and she is going to need all the skills only you can give her." I just nodded and she walked away. I covered my face with my hands for a second and activated my bravery rune. Once I was ready to go, I entered again the room, there was no one there. I frowned as I have not seen Charlie leave the room. "Charlotte?" I called out her name, hoping for her to be organizing things. "Right here." She answered from the end of the room. "What are you doing on the floor?" I started panicking because I knew she was too weak to be giving a workshop for more than four hours. "Would you believe me if I say that I wanted to check the connections down here?" Her response just made me sigh. "No." I replied. "Then, you're very right. I was so happy doing this, that I forgot to actually take a second to catch up." She sat up and I held her down. "Stay there for a bit more."

Charlie lay back again and after a few minutes, we went back to our room. She took off her shirt to change the bandage. "It's amazing what a God's energy can do to your body." She added smirking as she activated her iratze and the wound healed completely. "Tomorrow, we're training. I need to move on and with all this special treatment, I can't quite leave it behind."
