CATHERINE'S POV

Two days later, and nothing had happened. The only bright side of this was that we had all enjoyed three concerts of McFly. We used the same strategy of the previous days and nothing big had happened, not until we left the venue, anyway. "There's an open rift." Catherine spoke to my mind and I told Leon about it. The other five people of our team got closer as we swept the place looking for demons and we found a greater demon. "This is way out of our power here, but we can stall him enough to wait for Magnus." I spoke to their minds and they all nodded. The girls that were dressed like us, started as I sent a fire mail to Magnus. Then it was Leon and someone else. The demon was busy enough that when we attacked, we weakened it enough for Magnus to take him down. We had the demon on the ropes, when Magnus did his thing and then, everything got quiet, the rift was closed and the demon gone.

"Is it over? Like, really over?" Charlie asked as she went to hug Magnus and he nodded and looked her over to see if she was okay. "It's okay, munchkin." After that, Magnus sighed relieved and Charlie was confused, but could not ask about it as Magnus left and we all returned to the institute. Evelyn was waiting for us and as the others went to rest, Charlie and I stayed behind to complete the paperwork of tonight's mission. As we worked on that, Evelyn stayed extremely quiet and that was weird coming from her. "What's going on? Spill." Charlie asked and Evelyn stood in front of us. "What really happened tonight?" As she asked, Charlie and I looked at each other. We already had explained what had happened. "We already told you and we have all this paperwork to prove it. What else do you need?" Charlotte felt something was wrong and after this day, she could not just be okay with Evelyn's doubts.

"I just got a notification from the Clave." That discouraged us even more. "They are asking for my resignation and they want to leave Leon as a co-director while they find someone else." Charlotte left the paperwork behind and logged into the Clave's system. We needed to get to the bottom of all this. "Lady Clave is behind all this, which confirms our suspicions that there are more people behind all this. So, first of all, you're not resigning. We still have three months to figure out what are we doing." Evelyn nodded and left us there. "We'll have a lot to do in these three months. So, I hope you've rested last night, because tonight we're not sleeping." Charlie's words were like an adrenaline shot and we started organizing everything. Our two main goals were the Global Meeting and try to break Lady Clave. We made an outline of the meeting and then we split all the obligations among the residents.

By morning, we sent everything to the residents and after breakfast we explained in depth what they had to accomplish. We would have weekly meetings to see the progress and hoped for the best. As that was covered, we reunited the team to fight the Clave. The same eight people plus Evelyn. We mapped out all the incidents that had been planned by them and tried to make a case of it. By lunch time, we all knew our missions and we got cleared of surveillance for a week. By the end of March, we had barely advanced on the mission against the Clave, but we had the upper hand on Evelyn's case as she was ranked as one of the best directors of Europe, so Jia stopped asking for her resignation, because it was idiotic. Charlie and I had gone to a few concerts and we have had fun. We got to celebrate April Fools and that had brought so much laughter that we let ourselves relax for a bit, but by April third, Charlie got sad. It was Mother's Day in London.

It was the first time she was not in her institute surrounded by her own family and I really did not know how to help her without texting any of the members of her family back in New York. For what Charlie had told me, she and her mom were close and it was a total shock for her to know that her parents had alliances with Valentine's purposes and she felt like she did not know them.
