CATHERINE'S POV

Evelyn called us to her office and Charlie explained our timeline, but I was too nervous to hear what she was talking about. A while later, we were back in our room and I was freaking out. "Okay, so explain me again where are we going." I spoke as I changed my normal clothes for hers. "We're looking for someone to buy our app so it's easier for mundanes to get the app in their phones and we know the right person for that." I looked at her confused as ever, because I was really lost. "Tony Stark. He is a billionaire and, his company is immersed into every branch of technology, meaning we just need to convince him to help us launch this app worldwide." Just then I understood what we were doing and I was happy to go out of the institute alone with Charlotte. This would be our real first mission together and I was excited. "Where is Tony right now?" I questioned and she smiled.

"Malibu." We were going back to the States and she seemed happy, which made me happy, but there was something else in her eyes and yet I did not know how to pull the words out of her. "Does Jace know you're going?" I changed the subject and she shook her head. "We did not know if this would actually work out, so I did not tell them, besides, we're not going to New York." She kept filling her case with some documents and things related to the meeting we were having. "We're going to Los Angeles as mundanes and then in a car to Stark's building. We might have to convince Potts first, so be ready to use as much information as you can, she is very smart and she manages the industries as now Tony is too busy being Iron Man." I nodded and re-read everything we had done to and for the app. "You have everything you need?" I nodded once again and we walked to Evelyn's office.

"Are you ready?" She asked and we nodded. "Your passports and everything you need is here. So, have a great meeting and if everything goes great, we'll see you in a week." Charlotte shook her hand first and then it was my turn; after that, we were on our way. The ride to the airport was completely silent, which was odd coming from Charlotte, but I did not want to push her to tell me what was wrong. "Would you like to watch some gossip?" The driver asked as he set the small TV in the worldwide gossip station. Charlotte faked a smile and nodded, just so he would not bother us. "He could hit me with that and I would thank him for it." Some host said and I looked at the screen. Tony was there. I glanced back to Charlie, who put her earbuds on and looked out the window. The TV show ended and we arrived to the airport. Both of us took our suitcase and walked in the airport. Our flight was supposed to leave in an hour.

We waited in line to go through customs and I got more nervous at each passing second, I have never traveled in a plane and I did not even know if my passport was that good. Soon enough, we took off and my anxiousness stayed in London. I fell asleep after a while and when we landed and we went directly to the Stark's building. I was not nervous; I was more anxious and that made Charlie feel a bit nervous. We both activated our bravery rune and waited for Potts and Tony to be ready to meet us. The assistant offered us something to drink while we waited and both of us asked for some cold iced water. Los Angeles was way hotter than London, even when they were coming out of summer. We finished our drink and looked through the window. Los Angeles had a beautiful sight. "Why did you choose London?" I blurted out and Charlie just smiled. "After Sebastian was killed, I needed some closure."

Jace knew that, he was just not on board with her idea. "That was why he put me in charge of welcoming you and later pairing us together, he felt like you could help me give me some closure and he was right." I felt good to hear that. There was this tiny part of me that was helping Charlie to move on from her cousin's death and it was an amazing feeling.
