CHARLOTTE'S POV

Alec and Magnus stood up when they saw me walking closer and hugged me like they have not seen me in ages and Magnus took my hand and twirled me. "Wow." I smiled proudly of my outfit, because I had worked really hard to get it. "Where did you get that dress?" Alec asked as he looked around and found a few soldiers looking at me. I was okay with them looking, but he not so much. "I made it while in surveillance in the control room." He hummed and looked at Jace. Every time Jace put me in the control room instead of the field, I would make an outfit, not because I felt rebellious, but that was my only downtime as I was always on the field. I had auto nominated myself the one in charge of mundane issues, so I had to investigate them thoroughly and sometimes, that meant spend time with them. Then, it was Jace and he acted like a jealous boyfriend. His hand sneaked to my waist and brought me closer.

I let him, because he was the closest thing as a brother I had and he was looking out for me. "You're not going out with that." He whispered in my ear and I just turned to him and put my arms on his shoulders. "Oh, but I will." I announced, faking innocence. "You're not." He tried again. "Or what?" I replied his whisper as he put me even closer. "I'll lock you up." I smiled wickedly. "In your room?" I flirted my way out of this. "Stop flirting you two." Izzy said and I rolled my eyes. "Party pooper." I said looking at her, who just kept playfully insulting me and my relationship with Jace. "Here comes our new friend." Izzy said and Alec and Jace got weird. I thought they wanted to keep distance so Cath would not think less of them, so I just let it go. Izzy hugged her as I just smiled at her awkwardness. I introduced her to the rest officially and I could feel her anxiety, so I turned to Jace. "We're all set." He nodded as he took over as the host.

Izzy and I guided Cath to our seats and just paid attention to the director. "Welcome to the New York's Institute. We have a fun Meeting planned for you, so I hope you enjoy it. Now, if my beautiful organizer can handle me the schedule, I'll tell you all about it." Jace stared at me and I hid the rolling eyes I was giving him. "Thank you, beautiful." He always treated me like that and my institute was used to that, but the rest of the world was confused as they knew that Clary was his girlfriend/lover/fiancé. "Give it up for my little sister, Charlotte. She's our technological and mundane master." I waved to everyone with a smile as I was thankful for the recognition. "Okay, so tomorrow we have breakfast from 7 to 8. Then, from 8:30 to 9:30, Miss Verlac will give us a strong lesson on technological tools for the Shadow World." Great. "From 10 to 11:30 Los Angeles's Institute will be in charge of the workshop. From 12 to 2:30 pm, we'll have lunch."

That was my favorite. "And then, you'll have a city tour. Later, from 7 to 9, we're having dinner. The second day it's alike, with the difference that London and Italy's institutes will be in charge of the workshops and the last day, Germany and Paris. As for tonight, we prepared a party out premises." Their excitement was palpable and I smiled at that. "Right now, just enjoy the food and bond with your table-mates." He continued as there was a round of applause and when it was over, he took his glass. "Welcome to this year's Global Meeting. Cheers." After that, he walked back to the table and before he went to Clary's side, he kissed my forehead. We talked and talked and Jace was surprised by Catherine's responsibilities in London and before I could even think about it, he offered a position for her whenever she started her year off. Then, I realized that he just wanted to know about my decision for my year off and I could not tell anyone about it,

It was then, when Cath blurted out something related to Magnus and Alec and Jace stopped pressing me about it. Thank the Angel for that. I grinned at Cath and just kept talking, until Jace looked at his watch, stood up and told us we were free to go to the party. And so, we waited for the portal and went out.
