CATHERINE'S POV

When I was on my way back to my room, I saw the lady from the Clave leaving and she tipped Kurt Grantfury, Leon's ex friend. As she walked away, I saw Kurt look around and opened a little container and he put some of that substance on his nose. Immediately he sighed relieved and once he left, I realized what I had just seen. I started trembling and after a while I tried to walk to my room, but I ended up bumping into Evelyn. "What- Are you okay? What's wrong?" I took my stele and put the rune on her. This was too much for me. "By the Angel." Her words sounded hurt and she took me back to my room, where Charlie and Leon were. "What happened?" Charlotte was freaking out and I just started crying. "What happened, Evelyn?" She kept asking and Evelyn just closed the door. "We have a problem." She said and I shared my own memory with Charlotte and Leon.

"Bring me some water and something to eat, please." Charlie told Leon as she put her arms around me. "What's going on?" Evelyn asked once again. "Catherine is really sensitive and there's just too much stress around these days." She explained as Leon got back and they fed me. "Are we reporting this?" Leon asked. "Did you know about this?" Charlie questioned Leon he shook his head and I could feel how confused she was. "I'm sorry, but Leon you need to activate your rune of truth." Evelyn dared to say what none of us could. He just nodded and did as he was told. "So, let me ask you again. Did you know about his addiction?" Evelyn asked and he sighed. Whenever you withhold information or lied, it hurt, that was why it was called truth rune. "I knew he had some issues, but I did not know that he was an addict or that he had ties with the Clave." Charlie stopped his rune and we just sighed.

"Dark times are ahead, because she's not from the Clave, but she is not alone in this." Evelyn said as she stood up. "We can't report until we know who is associated with her." I closed my eyes at that, she was right, if we trusted the wrong person, all this could backfire to us and we could get hurt in the process. "Who else knows about this?" I closed my eyes, pretending to be in pain, but I just looked at Charlie. "Just us." To be honest, she was right, we were the only ones who knew that the lady from the Clave had different alliances. We could not tell Evelyn about Sebastian's files, because not even us knew about that yet. "Don't do anything out of the ordinary and lock your stuff, if we caught her in action, she will send Kurt to finish what she started." We all nodded and she left. "This means that he was under the influence when he stabbed you. It was not just hatred because of me." Leon said and broke down crying.

Charlie and I covered him with our arms and consoled him. He was broken, beside everything that had happened this year, his friend had lost his way and some how he felt responsible for it. "I fed him the irrational hatred I had towards you to him. This is my fault." He cried like a little boy missing his mom and Charlie just hugged him. After a while, we went to our beds and Charlie and Leon slept together. It had been a long night and we did not know what could happen next. Leon cuddled Charlie and the stupid part of my brain thought that they looked cute together. I could feel how hurt Charlie felt and that made me feel low. We woke up early in the morning when my phone rang and I answered still half asleep. "Put me on speaker." Jace said and I did as he told me. "Some woman from the Clave just came to ask for your expedients as apparently you broke some rule." I stayed quiet because we were all confused.

"What rule?" She asked as Leon kept his place. "Something about a boy in your pants? Up until today, I did not even know Thor was a boy and that you couldn't have people in your room!" Jace was mad, but I did not know if he was mad or jealous. "First of all, Leon is always in our room and we weren't doing anything." She defended herself and Jace just sighed. "Then, we're fucked."
