CHARLOTTE'S POV

By the middle of August, we went to an Evanescence concert and it was quite funny that our casual outfits matched some of the guys there, not the makeup though. The singer had an amazing range singing wise and I was blown away by the level of depression of the songs and still after that, I had some songs of them on my phone. When we got back home, we realized we had two weeks to actually sell the idea of the app and I was scared of what Jace would say when I go and tell him that we were not going with Tony for this. He was still a bit mad at me, but now at least, he was talking to me, but he did not trust Justin after all the incident with Vanko and Tony. So, I decided to withhold that information up until it was too late for him to stop me. By the twentieth of August, Catherine and I took our prototype and all we needed was to sell the idea, so we went to Justin's office. For the first time, I was nervous of presenting a product.

Before, I knew that Tony would say yes to whatever I put in front of him, but now I would break things off and I did not know what all this would do to my relationship with Tony. Unlike Instagram, we decided to skip the local launch as Lady Clave was still a bit hurt over what had happened, so we had to play it cool. Which meant, I had to sell the idea and then let the buyer make the launch on his own. So, we got to Justin's office and after activating most of our runes, we got in. "Babe, you look divine." He said and I cleared my throat. "This is my colleague, Catherine." Justin nodded and shook her hand politely and Cath thanked that. "We are here for business." I said and Justin threw everyone out of the office. "What you got for me?" He asked and we started explaining the whole purpose of this app. Entertainment, that was why we had added the filters. Justin was fascinated by the effects and how the app captured your factions and played with them.

To be quite honest, this was a very good app and the filters were pretty good. "I love it, what do you need from me?" He asked as he was ready to give me whatever I wanted. "For starters, we need to advertise the app so people can install it on their phones, so we need to advertise on the internet." Catherine said and I just came up with the details later. "I'm very impressed of this. I gotta tell you that." He started, I knew that, even after all we have shared, he still thought I was dumb. And although I knew he was going to say yes, I put my hands on the table and showed some cleavage. "So, what do you say?" His smile gave him away and he nodded. Catherine and I started jumping and after a while, we stopped. "I'll prepare the launch for the thirty-first. I'll pick you up. For now, take the prototype to the lab and install it on the servers so we can make it pop everywhere."

The face he had while he said all that was almost like a kid on Christmas morning and I felt good for doing this for him. "By the way, dinner at my place tonight, babe." I threw him a kiss and walked out with Cath. When we were in the lab, we did what we always did and connected to the servers and upgraded a few other things. "So, what are we going to do with Jace?" Catherine asked and I just hid my face on the desk. "I'm pretty sure I will hide this until the very last moment." She just nodded and then something came down on me. "You really should not be involved in this!" She looked at me like I was crazy. "Didn't Jace told you about the trial month?" I asked as my heart was beating really fast. "New York doesn't have that and we're in August already, so they can't really ship me back home." I sighed relaxed and just breathed. "This is the worst thing that you could have inherited me. I hate panic attacks."

We both laughed at that and she just kept caressing my back until I felt better. On our way home, we picked our outfits for the launch and we truly hoped for the best. We still did not know what would we do with Jace or Tony. Cath was not very worried for Tony as they were not as close, but I was and, that worried me.
