CATHERINE'S POV

Charlie disappeared and if it would have been any other mundanes, I would have been freaking out, but Tony was giving me some kind of confidence I did not know I had. "So, we have a fieldtrip tomorrow." Charlie spoke to Tony as I was having a shot of whiskey with Tony. "Damn, you should have waited for me." She hurried her steps to where we were and we drank as the chimney gave us some heat. Pepper had gone to sleep as unlike us, she had a business to run. "So, how is London?" Tony asked and Charlie started talking a lot about the city and the few missions we have been to. "I just don't get the idea of all that." He said pointing at our runes. We usually covered them so people would not freak out on the number of tattoos we had. "Each of these tattoos has a special task. The most common one is the iratze." I pointed at the one I was talking about and Charlie took a knife out of the kitchen.

She sliced her hand and as Tony started freaking out, she activated her rune and quickly, it was healed. "How?" He looked so confused and freaked out. "We're half angels, meaning we have angelic blood in our veins." I replied as Tony slowly came back to normal. "Each one of this has a specific chore, to heal, to make us faster, invisible and so much more." I added and then Tony just kept wowing, making us laugh with his face. "Oh, c'mon, it's not like this is the best thing you've seen. Hello! You're Iron Man." I rolled my eyes. Tony had seen way weirder things while he had been Iron Man, but at the same time, our world should not exist, so I could somehow understand his reaction, plus the whiskey has not helped him at all. "How is it possible that you are not wasted?" He asked as we took him to his room. "Our metabolism is so fast that we can't. We're very lame, I know." I replied and left him there as Charlie just smiled at Tony's behavior.

After taking Tony to his bed, we went to our room and relaxed there. We opened the window and watched the stars. I had always found them interesting and after spending a few hours with Loki, I was even more intrigued by them. "Spill it out." Charlotte said after a while and I stopped looking at the sky and back at her. "Huh?" I looked at her and she just shook her head. "What did Loki do?" She questioned and I opened my eyes. "H-how?" I stuttered and she giggled. "London is not that exciting to keep you that unfocussed." I sighed because she was right and I hated it. "Loki is just a misunderstood God." I started and Charlie arched her brows but let me keep talking. "He is resentful for this whole rivalry that's going on with their dad, but he is not a bad person." Charlie stayed quiet for a second and nodded. "You're right, but we really shouldn't interfere into that." Her words were well thought and she knew that.

"Look, he's the God of Mischief, so I would not trust him very much. But, at the same time, last night, I met a whole other person. So, maybe he was not that bad." Her words made me feel better and when the night was about to end, we went to bed. We woke up when Potts left and I activated my hearing rune, Tony was deep asleep still, so we went down and trained. We could not stop, otherwise, Charlotte would stay behind and for the next Combat Fest she might lose for real. We warmed up and for the first time, Charlie did not throw up. We trained and fought like hell, we just stopped when Tony started clapping. "I really need to learn whatever was that." We laughed as he walked closer to us. "Catherine is the master of fighting and she has been training me since July." Charlie explained and he stood in front of me. I looked at him serious, because I was not fighting him. "C'mon. I'm not going to break."

His words sounded so sure, but in reality, I could break him. "You really don't want to fight her. Even Jace has tried." As he did not heard Charlotte, I sighed, he would not stop until we fought. "Okay, but if I hurt you, you can't complain, because we told you so." He nodded to my words and we started walking in circles, up until he threw the first punch.
