CHARLOTTE'S POV

When we were on our own in my room, I made myself sure that Jace was far away to turn around and look at Cath. "We have another place?" She smiled and nodded. "We're taking the puppy to Steve. That way, he won't be completely alone and it will give us a reason to come by more often." I chuckled at her idea and just hugged her. "Let me text him." I wrote at least a thousand texts and still I did not like any of them, so I deleted them all. Catherine watched me second-guess myself for an hour before taking my phone and wrote a text herself. "Done. Now, let's go." She stood up and I shook my head. "It's too soon for me to go there." I was scared that he thought that I was too desperate. Catherine just rolled her eyes, opened a portal and went away. After a while, she got back and she had a smug smirk on. "What?" I asked, trying to not be too interested in the topic. "He was disappointed that you weren't the one bringing the puppy. He loved him by the way."

I tried to keep reading all we had gathered of the mission. "Speaking of puppies." I started as I kept looking at the pages. "We have to get something from the Seelie Court." She smiled excitedly and I looked at her weird. "Faeries are not common in London." I hummed and got ready to go. "Why are we going there, anyway?" She peaked on my documents and I handed them to her in case I was missing something. "We're on poll duty." She nodded; we had done something alike in London but with the warlocks, I mean the other soldiers, not me. "So, we're meeting Matthew to gather them. As we don't trust the Seelie Queen, Matthew will bring the polls to us." She nodded and went away to get ready. I changed my clothes and put my stele on my boot. "Why are you afraid of what you have with Steve?" She asked me and I was not sure how to answer that. "I'm not scared. I'm just coming out of a relationship." I replied and we kept walking out of the institute.

"Justin was not as important as Thor, so I know you're lying." I sighed and just looked down. "It scared the hell out of me, because he's traumatized and I don't want to be the one that fucks him up even more. He's Captain America for crying out loud!" I stayed quiet after that. "It seems like you always go big. First a God, now a superhero." That made me laugh and we just kept talking about my supposedly love story with Steve Rogers. "I already told you, I think he's handsome, but he left perfectly clear that his ninety-three-year-old ass would not date my nineteen-year-old ass. So, why keep talking about it." My words made her smile and I was confused. "Who said date the guy? You can just put him up to date in all that department." She pointed at my whole body and I laughed. "I created a monster!" I chuckled and just kept walking. "By the way, we need a name for the dog." I scrunched my nose and started thinking on a name.

"What about Sebby?" Cath said and I sighed. "That's perfect, actually. We just have to train our baby." We started talking about what we wanted the dog to do and we decided that our social accounts would go public. If I was going to live in the real world, I could not be a ghost anymore. We kept laughing and walking to the meeting point. There was Matthew, feeding some pigeons and I smiled at him. "Cath, this is Matthew. Matt, this is Catherine." They both looked at each other and it was like I was not there anymore. "Okay, then." I said in a whisper to myself. "Did you bring-?" He just put his arm out for me to take the things, but he did not even look at me. "Wow." I added before walking away. "Don't be out too late, dude." After that, I walked to Central Park, finally I ended up in the cabin, where Steve was teaching my dog how to sit. Cutest scene ever. I knocked on the door and Steve opened immediately showing a smile.

"I thought I had scared you off." I was about to reply, when the dog ran to me. I kneeled and pet him as I talked to the puppy. "May I come in?" I asked after the dog entered again and Steve reacted and let me enter the cabin. I walked straight to the kitchen and put the food in the oven and then I walked to the living room.
