CHARLOTTE'S POV

As I had brought the Stark support, my station had the main Stark attractions, but that meant my station would be super busy all days and I thought that was not fair. "What if we share all these attractions within all the stations, that way we all are going to be busy and not just my station." My group smiled and sighed; they were thinking the same as me. The one in charge wanted to kill me, but I would not let people to step over me. The issue with Leon had taught me that I had to defend myself when things happen, otherwise things can escalate quickly and I was not going to expose myself to another situation like the stabbing again. So, I held her stare and I challenge her to do something about it, but she immediately backed off, which confused me. Once we had everything ready and organized, we walked out of the meeting room just to find that the day had ended.

I walked to my room and found Leon sitting in front of my door. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked as he stood up. "I imagined you'd be hungry, so on our way back, I bought you this." He handed me a brown bag and I peeked inside. "Pain au Chocolat and a Parisian Falafel?" I went to hug him again and then I opened my door and let him inside. "Where did you go?" I asked him as I took off my shoes, jacket and shirt. "It was Cath first time in Paris, so we went to every little place she found interesting along the Seine." I smiled at that. Cath was the kind of girl that was marveled by simple things and Paris had a lot of those. "Hold on, you went to the Eiffel Tower, then?" He nodded and I scrunched my nose. "I wanted to go with you guys!" He smiled and comforted me and offered a hug, which I took immediately. "We can go on your day off." He offered and I started eating.

"You guys are going to be gone by then." I muffled as my mouth was full with food. "I can wait for you." I cleaned my mouth with the napkin and smiled at him. "You really don't have to do that. You don't owe me anything. Whatever happened, happened." I explained as I held his hand. "I'm not doing this because I feel like I owe you something. I just want to spend a day with you without people. Just us." There was a tiny voice inside of me saying that he just wanted to end what he had started, but there was a louder voice saying that he was harmless. "Okay, but you need to answer truthfully one question." I said and he looked nervous for a second. "Okay, shoot." His voice trembled and I got confused. "Did you or didn't you let me win on the Combat Fest?" He sighed and activated his truth rune with a smile. "I did not. That was all you and by the way, nice moves." We both laughed at that and kept talking for a few more hours.

The carnival itself started at eight, but the Shadowhunters would have to teach a few things throughout the day to the attendees and I had lots of surprises prepared for my workshops. By the following day, I taught the kids about the responsibilities that the runes had over us and the responsibilities we had to our world. Kids seemed very interested in how I was sharing my knowledge with them and their parents looked happy too, so I was happy with that. To end the workshop, they drew their favorite rune and I hung them around. That night in the fair was full with teenagers, my group was in charge of the Ferris wheel and Leon and I kept chatting as people kept coming to our spot. By the end of the night, Catherine appeared on my station and on our way to the hotel, we stopped at a pizza joint. "I can't believe you're leaving in three months!" Leon added and I giggled. The year had gone so fast that I was really impressed that I had endured it.

"Yeah! I can't believe it's almost over!" I added as I let them hug me one more time. "Let's not talk about that, otherwise I might cry." Catherine said with a pout. "Hey, no pouting. I'm not leaving yet, so stop." We all chuckled at that and kept eating until the pizza was gone and we all got back to our rooms.
