CHARLOTTE'S POV

After breakfast, we got ready for the first workshop and as Jace had mentioned, I was giving it. So, I went to brush my teeth and put my hair in a perfect bun, so I looked very distinguished. Usually, people did not give me too much attention as I was young and apparently, I did not know anything, so I had to play them into thinking I was older. I changed my clothes and went to the technological room. Each institute was recognized by something. As Russian institute was known for being the greatest spies, Germany was famous for their discoveries on physics and the quantum science. New York was well known for the technology we had and not only in the computers, we also had especial weapons for our kind, so we could save the Downworlder or the Mundane. So, for an hour I talked about our technical advances and our future plans. Then, we had a thirty-minute break, where I went back to my room and got back to be me.

Cath was still reading our brochure and I noticed that a part of her desired to leave London, but I did not know why. There was so little we all knew about her and yet I could not make myself get away from her. Soon enough was time for the Los Angeles' institute workshop and they had deep ties with the NASA and everything that was connected with the Astronomy. They had been studying the outer space for decades and yet they still did not have any fact that there was life out there. I just listened to them, although I knew for a fact that there was life out there. I had a sort-of-boyfriend to prove it, but Thor did not want that kind of attention on him, so I kept my mind shut about him and all his reign. By just thinking about him, a flirty smile got out and I found myself missing him, like crazy. We have been together a few hours ago, but I was missing him. I could still feel his hands on me as I still had his taste on my lips.

"What are you thinking?" Jace questioned as I found myself alone in that room. "Oh, I was thinking on you and me." His face distorted and I laughed. "You fucking loser." He screamed as he chased me out of there and I let him catch me a few meters away from my room. "Lunch and then you're in charge." I looked at him, confused. "What?" He asked, literally not knowing what was wrong and I hated the fact that he was naturally blond. More like naturally stupid "Me again?" I replied and he just shrugged. "Who loves New York more than you and who knows every little secret and touristy places in town?" As I tried to answer that, I realized he was right and I just kissed his cheek and ran to the dining room, where Cath, Izzy and Clary were already eating. I ate some corn salad with chicken salad and potato salad. "You like salad?" Cath questioned as she put some pasta in her mouth.

"You don't even know! She could eat a whole corn salad casserole on her own and she'd still be hungry." Clary replied as Jace got there and hugged me, scaring me. We ate and had fun for a while as our topics were a bit unconventional. Lunch was gone in a blink of an eye and then I transformed myself into a tourist guide. I took them all through the most beautiful streets of New York and all of them got lost on the night lights my dear city had to offer. Crossing the bridge at sunset was simply amazing and I sighed, I would miss these little details when I am gone. Jace noticed my change and as the rest was taking pictures, he went to hug me, but he did not associate it to me missing my city, he thought I was just tired. That made me miss him already, so I hugged him and breathed him in, trying to get everything from him tattooed on my senses. We returned to the institute and had dinner and somehow, our topics kept being weird.

And I realized that I was totally okay by that. The night was gone and then, it was London's turn and I felt proud for Cath. She had kicked our best soldier and she was not even bothered. I wanted to be able to kick his ass and not feel bad about it and if everything went okay, I could get better.
