CATHERINE'S POV

As I sat down in our usual table, Leon went to sat with me and he seemed happier than other days, but his eyes were glossy. "Everything's alright?" I asked as I held his hand. He dedicated me a smile and kissed my hand. "Everything is good. It'd be greater if I get a hug, but I'm not pushing you." He chuckled and without thinking too much, I just hugged him. Feeling his body against mine felt foreign. Hugging was Charlotte's specialty, but now that I had jumped into the demonstration of affection, I was okay with them. "I was away for a minute and you get all mushy." Charlie added and then she hugged us. "I need cuddles." Her words made us chuckle and Leon hugged her too. Even when we all got away, he kept his arms around her and I caught something there and I did not like it. I trusted him, but it was weird. "Do you like her?" I asked Leon when Charlie left to pick her food and he frowned, confused by the question.

"You do realize she's sort of my long-cousin, right?" As he said that I understood my own question and scrunched my nose. "Sorry, she's not your cousin and you are really touchy with her." He nodded, understanding my point of view. "She needed cuddles, so I'm giving her cuddles." His answer was perfect and I just smiled at him. Charlie got back with a mountain of food and started eating. After a while, she was too tired to keep eating by herself, so Leon started feeding her and I wished I could snap a picture of them, because they looked cute being all familiar. Even if they were not conscious about it. After lunch, Charlie went away and Leon and I had a shift on the Instagram statistic center. As we checked that everything was running smoothly, we also enjoyed the videos and pictures that the mundanes shared. Almost at dinner time, Charlie got back and she looked drained. "Are you okay?" Leon asked and she just smiled weakly.

"Just tired. I'll have something to eat and I'll go to bed." Her response made Leon pushed her to the bed. "Wait here, I'll bring some food and then I'm nursing you to sleep." Before she could say no, he was gone. "At least, he gave you time to shower." I said shrugging my shoulders as she just laughed and ran to the shower. By the time she was out, Leon was entering our room. As he fed her, I dried her hair and we talked a lot. When the food was gone, Charlie went to brush her teeth and then Leon caressed her hair until she was out. Eventually, he fell asleep next to her and I was too comfy to kick him out, so I let him stay. March tenth and we were awoken by an alarm. "What the hell did just happen?" Leon grunted as he sat on the bed. "Institute meeting." Charlie said as she let her body fell on top of Leon again. He kissed her head and pushed her lightly to her wardrobe. "I'm going to change, see you in the meeting room." And he just left.

Thirty minutes later, we were in the meeting room and everyone was taking their seats. Evelyn had a huge smile on her face and I wondered what had happened that had her so happy. Leon had saved us some seats, so we walked to him. It was funny to think that we would end up being friends after all that hatred he had for Charlie when they met, but somehow, he realized that what he had done was not good and that she was not at fault for what had happened to Sebastian. Although, it cost Leon his best friend, he seemed content having us as friends instead. "Dear Shadowhunters, I've gathered all of you here to let you know about some good news for us. The Clave did the draw for the Global meeting and for the first time in forever, our institute won. We're officially hosting this year's meeting." As she ended explaining, everyone jumped out of their seats and Evelyn let them express their happiness for a bit before asking them to calm down.

"So, we have almost 3 months to prepare everything. We have a very high stake to reach after last year's meeting." As she glanced at Charlie, she stood up and waved like a contest pageant and everyone smiled at her action. By now, everyone was used to her extrovert actions and secretly, we all love them. She had brought something fresh to the institute.
