CHARLOTTE'S POV

After my night confessing everything to Jace, I texted Justin. I could not keep doing that to him, and to myself. I needed to break things off, quickly, but gently. He was surprised, but not that much. "I knew this path was too much for you." He explained and I just nodded, although I did not know what he was talking about. "Fame can be a lot." Oh, that. Yeah, we can use that. "But can you go with me to a few other dates to promote the app? Just as partners." I nodded, because I did not want to leave him like that either. "What about a last date?" He walked closer and I nodded, still confused on why I was doing it. He kissed me and we ended up in his room. "Partnership dissolved." He joked before I left. I kissed him one last time and walked off. I felt good after all, he had something new to worry about and I knew he would be okay eventually. I was happy, because I had made him happy and Tony and Pepper were safe now.

I still had some stupid things to do, I just had to come up with them. Two days later and by late afternoon, I felt like a caged lion and then it hit me. Leon. I opened a portal to London and again, I had forgotten about time zones, so he was sleeping when I got to his room. I took off my clothes and just got in bed with him, hoping he woke up. After a few seconds, he did. "What are you doing here?" His question was left unanswered as I kissed him and after a while, I had him exactly where I wanted him. When he fell asleep, I got dressed and I got back home. I felt better now. I went to shower and then I went to sleep on Catherine's room. She did not seem to mind and just cuddled me. A few days later, we went to a concert in Boston. Catherine had gotten us tickets and I loved her even more when I saw the singer. Joe Jonas was my crush, since he was in the Jonas Brothers. I screamed my life out and just had a nice night.

Catherine just recorded and uploaded things to our social networks, we still had some Stark-duties to uphold. Two days later, I was once again in London and it became something usual for a week, until I put a stop to it. I did not feel as trapped as before, Jace had been right, I just needed to do a few stupid things. It still hurt, but it was bearable. As we got back to the institute after our daily jog, we got a message from Tony. "Jace, I got a message from Tony related to guns." Jace looked at the papers on his desk and read what we missed and if he could come up with some new things for greater demons or possessed Downworlders. We really did not want to kill them, besides having them alive helped us to find the source, not just patch things up. Almost an hour later, I was on the Stark Tower and I went to his office. He welcomed me and first we talked about the weapons order, I gave him some insight on the greater demons and hoped for the best.

"I'm sorry." I said after all that. "I thought that if I could give him something alike yours, he could start again and he would not hurt you or Pepper. All I did was to protect you and Pepper." My words made him look like I was crazy. "Charlie, I get it." He was extremely calmed. "No, you don't. He had threatened to hurt you and Pepper and I just gave him something to take his mind off you both. You are Iron Man and believe that nothing will get to you, but eventually, villains are going to get to you and I just want to protect you both." Tony stood up and went to hug me. "I appreciate it, but let's not forget that you're a kid and that I'm the adult. I'm the one who is supposed to protect you. Especially from that lunatic." I giggled and he rolled his eyes. "He's not that terrible, Tony. He happened to be a great human being underneath all that jealousy." Tony looked at me like I was crazy and asked some of his robots to get my temperature, which made me laugh.

"I know you feel like you have to protect me, but I got it. I have under control the mundane things." I laughed and just left. I met Catherine back in the institute and we went out and about, promoting the new app and also the Stark Industries. Justin was thankful for the comments on our social media and he sent a lot of money for it.
