CATHERINE'S POV

To be honest, I was scared of the Combat Fest. The guys were back and Charlie had to fight again and I was terrified that they would threat her safety again. Although, Leon looked remorseful for what had happened, but Kurt was another thing. He looked almost proud of his actions and that alienated him from the rest of the institute. All that made me think that there must be something bigger there. There was no other explanation for that. Even if he was proud of his actions, he looked a bit paranoid, like expecting someone to attack him. Everyone would say the Silent Brothers scarred him, but I really felt like there was something else. When it was announced that Leon had to fight Charlie, I almost blacked out. He was as shocked as I was and I mentally asked for a double check on him, but Evelyn did not, that increased my anxiety and I could see his confusion and hesitation when he was in front of her and he made the first move.

Charlie ducked and as she turned, she hit his ribs. He smiled at that and tried once again, but he did not touch her, but she did. I was confused on the why she was not hitting hard, then I realized she was being cautious in case that triggered him, so it took her a while to actually win. The fest ended and before Evelyn returned her powers, she sent Charlie to the nursery, so I went there. Charlie did not have anything so, when she had her powers back, we went to our room. "You were amazing as usual." I told her and she just smiled. "There were some unnecessary hits, but we'll work that out, eventually. As for tonight, rest." Charlie sighed thankful and went to the shower. When she was back, she looked more tired than normal and she went to bed immediately. I stayed up reading for a few more hours. It was then when it occurred to me an idea. She had won her fight and she deserved something for it, so I started to look for concerts.

As I did not know much of mundane music, I picked the one I had listen to on the radio while patrolling. Enrique Iglesias. He was having a concert in Puerto Rico in about three days and we were going. The days went by and the day of the concert arrived. "Where are we going?" Charlie asked as she changed her clothes. "To a concert in Puerto Rico, so hurry up." She stayed frozen for a few seconds before giggling and getting ready. We sneaked out of the institute and portaled ourselves to Puerto Rico. We used a glamour to walk around, eat and just be tourists and when it was time to go to the concert, we activated our invisibility runes and entered the venue. The cheering was deafening and Charlie and I were enjoying it. When the concert started, we screamed the whole time and when it was over, we went to the beach. It was so calm and beautiful. Nearly two hours later, we returned back home.

The following day we were still too ecstatic and we had to act like nothing had happened. We kept looking for local concerts and kept having fun. Charlie did all her things and just like that, February started and her birthday was coming up. "So, I was thinking." She said one night in the surveillance room. "As my birthday is on the 15th and yours on March the 16th, we could make a conjoined party on March 1st." That would be a great idea, we just needed approval. "Before you say no, Evelyn said it was a good idea." I started giggling because obviously she had already fixed all those details. "Then, I guess we're having a conjoined party." She jumped out of her seat and hugged me. "It's going to be awesome." She said and called Jace as she texted Tony. Both said yes right away and now we just had to plan the party. The days walked through and we sneaked out for a new concert. This time in London.

A Day to Remember was playing nearby and we already knew the drill to go out. We were getting really good at sneaking out and that made it even more exciting. My life had changed a lot since Charlie arrived to London and I would not change a thing of it, because now I was not afraid of the world anymore.
