CHARLOTTE'S POV

As soon as we landed in London, we were welcomed with a few hugs and laughter. Evelyn called us to her office immediately and after leaving our things in our room and Leon on Sebby's duty, we got there and she pointed to the chairs, so we sat down. "Mr. Herondale already informed me about your issues, so we'll handle it just like they did there. I just need you to do your job, but stay low." We both nodded because we knew Lady Clave was going to keep messing with us. "Now, I got the news both of you are going to be working part-time on Stark Industries in London. So, these are your new schedules. Learn it, destroy them and do not share it with anyone out of your trust circle." We looked at her confused, but nodded either way. "Magnus told me the sleeping arrangements and we're okay with that." I nodded relaxed as I will try out if it was good or not as London had a different time zone from New York, so that might backfire me.

"If something happens, as little as it seems, you tell me. Someone's following you, you tell me. Someone's trying to pick a fight with you, you tell me. You need a time off, you tell me." That last thing she directed it to me and I nodded, because after my kidnapping, I felt different, but I could not quite explain it. "Okay, girls, welcome back." As she said that, she smiled and we knew we were dismissed, so we walked to our room in silence as Cath did not know how to express her thoughts. "We need to talk." Leon told me and I looked at Catherine, she nodded and I looked back at Leon. We walked out of the institute and strolled around it. "I'm sorry." I started. "I was in a real bad place and I used you knowing how you felt." He listened to me, without interrupting me and I felt grateful for that. "I don't want to lose your friendship over my stupidity." I looked at him and he sighed. "Charlie, I told you that I liked you, not that I was in love with you."

He was right, but that did not make me feel better. "I also told you that I would jump in your pants, so I didn't feel used, at all." I sighed and giggled. "You might be the best shag I'll ever have, so I'm available whenever you want." I hit his arm and rolled my eyes. "But I'll also be the friend you need, the date you want and the shoulder to cry on." I hugged him tight and kissed his cheek. "Now, I want all the details of your imprisonment over burgers, ice-cream and every junk food you love." I hooked my arm on his and walked next to him as I texted Cath that everything was okay and that we would take a bit more time. He was surprised that the Clave was so willing to break their own rules to get to me and I could not make myself tell him the reason behind their actions, or better said Lady Clave's. We took pictures and I uploaded to my Instagram account and I liked the way it felt being in the open with the world.

By dinnertime we were officially back to work and Evelyn called me up. "Miss Verlac returned to the institute to help us out in the armory. Charlotte will be our new weapon's master, which means that she will be able to create and expand our armory stock how she thinks it will be best to our institute." I thanked her and walked back to my table. "Did you know this?" I questioned to Cath's mind. "No. I just knew that I was back to Training Master." She replied in the same way. We kept listening to Evelyn's plans for this new semester and then, we started eating, talking and just socializing with my new life. When I finished eating, I went to the room, pet Sebby and got back to New York. It was barely after four in the afternoon there and just then, I looked at my new schedule. I would work in Stark's office from four in the afternoon to eight at night. Then, I would have an hour for dinner in the institute.

Later, I would have twenty-five minutes to get ready for surveillance up until four AM in London, so I could go back to New York and sleep up until midday. Lastly, I would have three hours to have brunch and get a hold of my social life in New York, if I could, but I was already pressed over going into different time zones and I did not know if I would be able to do it.
