CHARLOTTE'S POV

Jace was serious and I did not know what he was thinking. "Where are you? Are you dating another one? What happened with Thor?" I felt his jealousy going up and I just rolled my eyes. "Remember Tony, right? Well, he just bought Instagram and as he is a loyal friend, I think it's time for him to know a bit more about the institute." Jace softened his features and just nodded. "Tomorrow?" He questioned again and I thanked him and hung up. I went back to the living room and enjoy some shots. The following morning, we trained and Cath beat Tony's ass. When he was more energized and less wasted, we went to eat something. After lunch, I walked to the living room and asked Tony to close every single thing. Even though he was a bit confused, Tony told Jarvis to close everything and so, I opened a portal. Cath took Tony's hand and walked into the portal. "Am I still wasted?" He questioned as he followed Cath.

"No, it's just a portal. Relax and follow me, don't let go my hand." He tightened the hold on Cath's hand and soon enough, we were within the institute. "I'm going to draw something on you so you can see exactly where we are." I added and Tony just nodded. After I put the temporally rune on him, we smiled. "Welcome to New York's Shadowhunter's Institute." Cath was smiling and Tony could not believe that all this was under that ugly and abandoned church. Even though, Tony had built a technological company and had created a robot within a cave, he was marveled by the building. It was like it did not fit his mind and it was funny to watch. So, we let him wander around for a little bit before taking him to Jace. "C'mon, Tony. Jace is waiting for us." I said as we walked closer to him. "How do you fit all this into that church?" We just giggled at his non-coherent words.

"It's not like that. Our building is protected by this magical curtain that makes it look like an abandoned church, but in reality, is a goth looking castle." Catherine explanations were enough for Tony to lose his mind once again. "Relax, otherwise you'll be crazy before we return you back to Potts." Just then he sighed and relaxed. We walked to Jace's office and he was already waiting for us. "Welcome to the New York's institute." Jace greeted with a smile on his face and holding out his hand to meet Tony. We talked and then Jace gave us the tour around the building and we ended up in the Greenhouse. I sighed with just seeing the skyline New York was offering. "This is seriously breathtaking." Tony said and I nodded. "I'm so tired of living in Los Angeles." He spoke and Cath and I looked at him. "Guys, I'm dying." He blurted out and I was about to laugh when Catherine held his hand. "What do you mean?" I questioned, afraid of the answer.

"When I was imprisoned back in Afghanistan, they put something near my heart that can blow in any minute. So, I created this." He pointed at his lighted heart. "But now, the batteries are poisoning me." He took a small blood reader and showed us. "Two days ago, the contamination within my body was at 2 percent." I looked at the little screen once again and it was in 5 percent. We stayed in silence and all I could do was, to open back the portal and take us back to his home. "There must be something we can do." Catherine said and I wanted to back her up, but if Tony itself was giving up, meant we should too. "Okay, hold on." Cath held her hands up. "Your dad was Howard Stark, right?" Tony nodded confused as to why his dad had been brought up. "He said in a video that you would do so much more and you'd figure things out. So, do that." Tony was more confused now. Just then, people started entering the house. Cath and I used our invisibility rune.

"We need you to come with us." And just like that, they took him, so wefollowed. They knew he was dying, but they also knew that he had the tools tomake it work and then he kind off lock him on his own house. They left and wetook our invisibility out. "Okay, you need to see this." I said and tookeverything related to his dad; the video included.
