CHARLOTTE'S POV

Kieran had been my first kiss too. He had been so patient with me and had taught me a lot of things, so I knew that he was a safe guy to make Catherine practice with. As they were too busy, I walked down and danced while they ended their lesson. Three hours later, Catherine walked down as she tried to fix her hair and her clothes. "Wow." She said and I giggled. "Thank you for that." We both laughed and as we were leaving, I looked back and saw Kieran buttoning his pants. I looked at him surprised and he just put his hands up, faking innocence. I just giggled and kept walking with Catherine. "Anything to tell me?" I asked as we got into our room. "Out of the obvious?" Her question made me giggle. "Anatomy is checked, then." She laughed and I chuckled at her comment. We went to bed immediately as we were on Holy Week Duty as it was the most favorite date for demons to go out.

It was Good Friday and before we went into surveillance mode, we went to the supermarket to buy some supplies for our cooking. After we returned from our surveillance, we showered and went to the kitchen. We put all our ingredients out and as we cooked, Leon snapped pictures of us that we would upload later. We made chocolate with different figures and then we went around the institute hiding them, so we could have an egg hunt on Sunday. By Sunday everyone was excited about doing this. We started May and we started the week with a Paramore concert in Los Angeles. Two days later, we celebrated a new Mother's Day, this time the American date and I was better now, I had a friend that I loved like a sister and it was then when I realized what Evelyn had said months ago. It was not just Cath and I that we were friends, she was my parabatai and I was about to go back home.

How could she be my parabatai? I stopped thinking on that and I worried on the Global Shadowhunter Meeting. We were eighteen days from that and we had to polish the edges of the whole thing. By the twentieth, everything started to arrive, tables, chairs, glasses, booze, drinks, cutlery, table clothes and the adorns. We started setting the things on the meeting room and Catherine was in charge of welcoming our guests. Finally, the day arrived and we were all ready. As it was a special day, we decided to wear other clothes, so people saw that the London Institute could change and be okay with that. I was proud of changing a few things, but I liked the way the institute was. It was midday and the first group arrived. Catherine started showing the rooms and I helped Evelyn in everything she needed. Once everyone had their rooms ready, we organized the tours around London after lunch.

As it was obvious, my dudes from New York were in my table and in my room. Jace looked at me, proud of my management along Evelyn. As we were strolling around London, Jace hugged me and I hugged him back. I had miss him so bad. Even if we had seen each other lately, it was always for a problem or issue, right now, we were almost drama-free. "Are you coming home, Charlotte?" I looked at him and I mentally asked him the why of that. "Stop that, I don't like it." I laughed and just kissed his cheek. "I'm going back home." I told him once we both stopped laughing. "Even when your parabatai is here?" I shot him a glare and started stuttering. "I noticed since the moment you started yelling at me for her panic attacks." I stared at him, still not believing him. "She needs you to be her best version and so do you." He hugged me as my eyes got watery. "Why did not you tell me this before?" I questioned and he sighed as he hid his face in my neck.

"Because I was scared to lose you, Charlie." Those last words hurt me even more. "I don't think there's something that could really tear us apart, Jace." I put my arms over his shoulders and we walked like that for a long time. After that I was too confused to keep the conversation going. What was I supposed to do now? Should I tell her and jeopardize her choice? Damn Jace.
