CHARLOTTE'S POV

Jace walked behind me immediately after I was taken off the room. He tried to use an Iratze on me again, but it did not work. "Don't you die, you hear me?" I wanted to smile, but I was too weak to even play him. "What's going on?" His question was more to himself that me and I stopped a new Iratze. "Lady Clave put a blocking rune on me. It's different from the one we know as Jia couldn't unblock it either." Jace was shocked and using his own Iratze, made me feel better. "I'll be right back." He whispered. "I'm dying, please don't leave me. Don't let me die alone." I cried and he kissed my forehead and walked away. "Don't let her fall asleep." Jace told the guard. I felt drained and sleepy, but the guard kept asking things, when all I wanted was to sleep. After forever, Magnus got in and with a little snap of his fingers he did his thing. "She's very weak. Get Cath here, now." Jace got out again and I saw a green unicorn next to Magnus.

"That's a really nice unicorn, Magnus. I'd prefer a blue one, but green is cute too." I giggled and he just chuckled. "I told him to wait outside, but he was desperate to meet you." His words made me smile. "I'm not gonna make it, am I?" I questioned with a tiny smile when the green unicorn put his head on my shoulder and I caressed his head. "You're going to make it because you're wonderful and I can't lose you. You have to meet the love of your life and give me my precious grandkid." I wanted to roll my eyes at his words, but I just managed to cough a lot and blood spurred out of my mouth like a waterfall. I felt someone tugging my hand and soon enough there was some peace. I opened my eyes and I recognized Catherine on my side. "Why am I not dead yet?" I questioned and Cath gasped and frowned. "You're not dying, you wanker!" Just then I felt painless. "I fixed your wound, but we need your runes back." I nodded at his words and walked back out.

"This charge will be dismissed as there are enough proof that any of the defendants were involved in the New York attack." Jia's words made me sigh relaxed. "Nonetheless, she will be in a minor sentence as we investigate what happened in these two days, plus she disclosed our world to mundanes." We nodded and then Magnus opened the portal and Jace took me in his arms to go home, because I was too tired to even exist. Clary looked at me and just drew a rune that restored my power and the Iratze made its thing, without even activating the rune. I took a shower and got back to my room. Cath was there and Tony. "I'm okay." I started before he went on and on about my safety. "When I told you to worry about your things, I didn't mean this." That made me giggle and he just sighed. "What happened exactly?" I frowned and sat on my bed. I did not want to share what had happened, but when Magnus got back, I knew I would have to tell them anyway.

I told them everything and I drew the rune Lady Clave had put on me as it was an unknown rune. "That's not right." Tony said and I made a face of not really knowing what was happening. "What now?" Cath asked and Jace got in. "You okay?" I nodded as he cuddled me and sighed. "What happens now?" I asked already thinking that I would include Tony. "There's been a few terrorist attacks and we're supposed to investigate it." Jace's words made me shudder. "You're on house arrest, so this is not your mission. I'm leading, I just came here to inform you that I'll be out for a few, but if anything happens, call me." I nodded and kissed his cheek, after that, he left. I noticed Tony was too quiet, so I sat next to him. "What's going on?" He just talked nonsense about New York. "The Chitauri are not coming back." I added after a while. "We already fought them and you sent a missile and killed the rest. We're safe." He nodded, but did not say anything.

"Want to stay the night?" I questioned when he was too into himself. "I can't sleep." He whispered. "May I try something on you?" He nodded and I drew a resting rune. As I finished it, he was fast asleep and I walked back to my bed. Finally, after three days, I could breathe and feel safe. I was finally home. Jace and the rest had brought me home.
