CATHERINE'S POV

I walked her to my table and sat down, waiting for the ceremony to be over. I could not believe she had chosen London from all the places. She had the world at her feet and she chose London. Once the ceremony ended, we all started eating and Charlotte had a mysterious smile. "How?" I whispered and she just shrugged. "Jace." I rolled my eyes, of course. "Why? I mean." I moved my arms around to show the rest of the place. "I know." She replied and started eating her dessert. "It was purely strategically. Our institute is down on combat techniques and your institute is low on software and technology, so." She made it sound like it had been an obvious choice. "You're crazy, but I'm glad you are here." She smiled at me and I kept showing her around. "Me too." As it was late, we activated our invisibility rune and went up to the Greenhouse. Nothing could top New York's Greenhouse, but I felt as in peace as I felt when I was there.

"How's Thor?" I asked after a few seconds. Charlotte giggled and that made me smile. "We're just very, very good friends." She replied as she played with her mood-ring. I showed a loop-sided smile and just nodded, understanding that we did not know each other that much to share many details about ourselves. "He could be the perfect man, if only there was not another issue in another galaxy." I stayed silent, because for some reason, she was sharing details with me. "But he might be the best man I've had on my bed." I looked at her surprised as everyone thought they were only platonic. "He's a God, give me a break." She blushed and I bumped my shoulder with hers, just to be supportive. "More than the mind-blowing sex, he listens to me. My fears and complains." I nodded at that, because we all needed someone like that. Suddenly, her watch started glistening and she smiled at it.

"It's Jace." She pressed a button and answered with a smile as we walked back to our room. "Hello, you." He greeted her and she just smiled at him. "Stop flirting with me!" Charlotte complained and Jace laughed. "By the Angel. I can't." Then, it was my turn to laugh, their relationship was enviable. Jace was the head of the institute and Charlotte was just another soldier there and yet, they had such a close relationship. The kind I would never have with someone in my institute. "How was that first day in the new institute?" His question made me wish to have someone as close around. "Amazing! Thank you for pairing me with Cath. I can feel this is going to be a great year." Charlotte sounded really excited to be here, so I would have to plan everything related to her training, starting now, so I gave them some privacy to talk. She was acting weird and maybe she needed to talk to her brother.

Charlotte had never been to London before and for what she had told me, the only thing she knew about my country was that we drank lots of tea, which in reality was true, but Shadowhunters were not that mundane. So, I was planning to take her to the castle. Once, she babbled about Lady Diana, so, she might enjoy all the royal places and if I planned this right, we could even get into the castle with our invisibility rune. She got to my room after a while and I got a glimpse of her schedule. She would be working from Sunday to Sunday and to be honest, I thought that was not fair. I tried to leave those thoughts behind and move a few things to put Charlie's mundane things that Izzy had just portaled in. Once everything was arranged, we put a double glamour on that as no one could find these things and we got ready to sleep, Charlie had a really long day tomorrow.

I was excited to go out and jog with her to all those new places I had never been. We were on our beds, but then some lightening caught my attention and I walked to our window. I almost died when I saw a shadow getting closer, I took my stele and was about to fight, when I recognized Thor and all I could do was open the window.
