CHARLOTTE'S POV

As I kept going with the workshops, Evelyn took her sweet time with the interviews. When I sent everyone to get ready for dinner, I heard some steps running, those belonged to Catherine. I turned around and caught her. "What happened?" I asked as she just giggled uncontrollably. "I'm ready for tonight." After that, she ran to our room and I just smiled confused. I had created a monster. I took a shower and got ready for tonight. As I was dancing in my underwear with Cath, Jace got in and made a face. "Don't be a wanker and join us, mate." I said as he chuckled and eventually started dancing with us. "I don't know what to wear tonight!" Catherine said as she racked my wardrobe. "Just choose something and put it on." Jace said after a while, already bored of waiting for us. "There's a photo booth, I need to look great!" I walked to my clothes, picked an outfit and handed to her. "Put that on, no more words. Go." And she left.

"So, did you tell her?" He asked and I just shook my head. "That wouldn't have been fair on my part. She has to make her own life." Jace hugged me and I felt like crying, I groaned and sighed. "We're not doing this now." I said as I stood up and checked my makeup once again. Jace took his phone as he got a new message and smiled. "Clary?" I asked as I went to sit on his leg. "Yeah, some director things." He said as he snapped a picture of us. "Clary says she's jealous and wants to hug you." I smiled. I loved Clary and her understanding of Jace and I relationship. We knew that we were weird and too touchy, but there was nothing really going on between us. We just knew how short life was and we really treated each other like brother and sister and eventually, we were the only thing we had left as family. So, we both are over-protective and loving and touchy. We finally got to the dinner and the moment of truth had arrived.

I had a smile on my face as I remember my own dinner last year, although I had been cut, but I was okay with that. After a few minutes, the London Shadowhunters started giving their decisions and then it was Catherine. She was smiling and she seemed content with her choice, which made me happy too. "See? I would've taken that away from her." I talked to Jace's mind and he just held my hand. "I'm Catherine Ashdown and on my year off I'll be attending New York's institute." Her eyes fell on me and I was in shock. Jace started clapping and next thing I know, Cath was next to me, smiling like an idiot. "You're going to New York, for real?" I whispered and she nodded. "I couldn't leave my parabatai alone, could I?" I was shocked. She knew. Jace snapped a picture of us and we uploaded it to our social network, telling the world she had gotten an internship in New York. After that, we just celebrated.

The following day, we planned a fun day out and after dinner, each group returned to their own institutes. Jace asked me to walk him to the portal as he had something to tell me. "What's going on?" I asked and he was not happy for what he was about to ask. "There's a mission for you." He started and I was confused. I was not a soldier of his institute yet. "It's related to mundanes, that's why you're the chosen one." I hummed, that made sense. "When do I have to start?" Jace made a face and I understood. "Let me break it slowly to Cath and I'll be right there." He nodded and kissed my forehead before I opened the portal that would take him home. After he left, I started thinking on some way to not be too harsh on Cath. We had worked on the panic attacks for a year now and we were doing good, I did not need her to go back again. As for tonight, we would all rest. We were extremely tired after hosting the event, so, we took shorter shifts so we could rest equally.

The last day of May, we got out and started promoting the Stark Industries and there was something that caught my attention. I had a bad feeling, but I pressed it without thinking too much. "Is that?" Catherine asked as we pressed play and I just nodded. At first, I was smiling because Thor always put a smile on my face, but this Thor seemed different and then I saw the reason.
