CATHERINE'S POV

I was next on the bathroom and just like the day before, I used everything I could and I put comfortable clothes. The girls were waiting for me and we all walked to our table. "No glamour today?" Clary questioned with a smile and that made me smile. "I don't want to abuse." We all laughed at that and enjoyed the breakfast. The morning passed by and the workshops had been out of this world. Technology by New York's institute and Astronomy by Los Angeles' institute were amazing and I had realized that Los Angeles could be a nice place to be while I was away on my year off. After lunch, Charlotte took my group in a city-tour around New York and somehow, we ended up near the construction of the Stark Tower, which in a few years, would be the first self-sustaining tower with no pollution. My whole group was impressed to know America had actual heroes. I smiled at Charlotte and she kept explaining things about New York.

After dinner, I kept wondering about the stars and realized that I was obsessed with outer space. I wondered if any of their studies would be successful, like was there any life out there? At first, I could not fall asleep as I was nervous for tomorrow's workshop. It was London turn of the first workshop, but then my thoughts went back to the moon and the stars, in the end I fell asleep between millions of constellations and some blue eyes, which was very weird as I did not recognize those eyes. The following morning, we had a training session and the London institute was in charge of it. We were very good at that. In fact, according to Charlotte, our institute –along the Asian institutes – had the best combat techniques. I felt proud of my institute and that gave me the opportunity to kick Jace's ass and Clary was somehow happy for that. My group was only allowed to wear tight clothes on missions and in trainings and I usually took advantage of that.

He just could not believe that I had managed to hit him and almost knocked him out. "I need lessons!" Charlie said from the corner and she got in. Although she was good, I was way better and weirdly enough, that made her feel happy and somehow accomplished. After a short and quick shower, I returned to the next workshop, this time in charge of Italy's institute. To my surprise, their specialty was more related to mundanes than Shadow World as they were hitmen and assassins. That did not mean they also did jobs within our world. I saw Charlie get so into the topic and so did I. They showed thousands of ways to torture and kill and suddenly, that became a priority on my bucket list. Then it was lunch and Charlie took us to this theme park and the rest of the afternoon went quickly fast and I was getting too comfortable in this institute and I liked it, leaving would be hard.

After dinner, Charlotte took me to the roof and we stayed there most of the night, just contemplating the night sky until it started changing its color. Today's workshops were in charge of the institutes from Germany and Paris. Germany had prestigious on the physics branch of science and they were really good at it. They were following the steps of some scientist that used to work for the government, as his wife had traveled to the quantum. Unfortunately, she had died in it as she could not get back, but this institute believed that if there was a way in, there must be a way out and they were trying to get there. On the other hand, we had Paris, they were known for the clothing, but they specialized on Shadowhunters clothes. Bulletproof, waterproof, repellent and they created their own cloths. Right then, they were working on an invisible belt that had a capacity for ten guns. This worked in a different aspect of the invisibility rune.

Mainly, it meant that even if you took out the invisibility rune, the belt kept being hidden, which the New York institute found wonderful and deep down, so did I, but I could not show it as my institute preferred the combat. We had weapons, but our primary way of fight was the combat hand on hand.
