After about thirty minutes of sitting on my knees beside the Lances, I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, it was Bairon's, and he spoke. "It's time to go." I was looking down at Varay, her lifeless corpse just lying there in a coffin that Mica had crafted. "You did what you could."

I stood up, nodding, Regis was no longer in her, he was currently holding my mother once again, getting ready for the long walk. It was decided by everyone as we sat here that we were going to go to Vildorial, and retake it, which should be easy. I was still a little upset with my brother, I didn't like the fact that he wanted to let them go, even if he did kill a decent amount of them with that single attack.

"Veer." Arthur said, and I looked at him. "Are you okay?" I nodded my head again, not saying anything to him. "Alright, people, let's get going." Mica had conjured a large staircase leading up to the surface since there were countless holes in the ceiling.

I started up them with the other Lances, the Lances that could walk, leaving the body of Varay behind. "Arthur, I'll head to the back with Lance Mica and Boo." Ellie spoke up, Arthur and I were in the front, Bairon was in the middle, and I guess Mica and Ellie were going to be in the back. "We'll keep an eye out on the Alacryans."

"Okay, be safe, Lance Eleanor." Arthur said with a pour face, leaving our sister behind as she flew towards the back. "It's good what you did for her." Arthur stepped up, picking up his pace so he was beside me. "All she ever wanted was to be strong, and now she is, I can see it in her eyes, her determination."

"Yeah." I said simply, thinking about everything, thinking about how to go about the death of Elder Virion and Varay, I lost others, but they were the most important to me, I didn't really account for them to be honest. 'Hades, how is Aya's spine looking?'

'It's the same, if I move, it will break.' Hades thought back to me. 'It'll be okay, Veer, you saved her life, that is what matters. When we get to Vildorial we can think of ways to help her.' I didn't know how to help a broken spine, but he's right, I have to find a way to help her in some way.

"You sure you are, okay?" Arthur asked, giving me a look, and I nodded. "Ellie was bugging me to give her stories about my time in Alacrya. I'm surprised she wanted to leave us, but I guess there is time for all of that."

"I suppose there is." I told him, reaching the surface, and the sands of the desert we were in hit me in the face. "Uhh." I said, starting to cast a wind barrier to deflect the sand away from us as we led the group.

"Arthur. Veer." The voice of Jasmine came from behind us as she appeared on the surface. The Twin Horns and Regis with my mother on his back appeared next. "I didn't get to speak to you guys earlier, I figured with everything, it wasn't the most appropriate time." She looked at me with a smile. "Thank you for healing me, Veer."

"Anything for you." I told her, returning her with a fake smile, but it looked real. "What is it you wanted to talk about?" I asked, looking from her, to Arthur, then straight ahead, trying to focus, not knowing what to expect, but I know I would feel an attack coming if there was one.

"It's about you, Arthur." Jasmine said, walking behind us still, it felt like she was afraid to join us. "The people were talking, of course it was while they were crying, I could hear the medics, and the other civilians say that they want you to be their new Commander, and I agree." I didn't say anything, Arthur has to be the Commander now, it can't be the Glayders or the Eraliths, none of them are experts in battle strategies. "If there was anyone Elder Virion trusted the most, it was you, Arthur, and the people now look up to you like a god, same with you Veer."

"They can't replace the asuras with us." Arthur spoke, and I shrugged, I mean they could, but I won't say that. "We didn't comeback just to fill them with new hope, we ---"
