Attack on Vildorial Pt. V

Ellie, the lances, and I were currently standing in front of the one wall on the end of the city, waiting for the approaching army to appear. Scythe Viessa and the Retainers with her will be here first, the army will get here shortly after.

Boo, Ellie's bond, which was a bear, was with the children, guarding them in some building down by the palace with the Prince's bond, forget his name, nor do I care. This surprised me, yet on the other hand it didn't, Boo knows that Ellie is strong, so he's probably fine with this.

I knew I had to fight Viessa, otherwise she would most likely kill everyone here if she wanted. I'm interested to see if Bairon and Mica can defeat a Retainer together, they very much should be able to. I don't really see a reason why they should fail, now if they were fighting Viessa, then yes, I could see how they would lose to her.

"Be ready!" Bairon shouted to the men and women around us, the front line was all mages, I should say augmenters, casters where in the back lines behind the non-mage soldiers. That was where Helen was, she was commanding that force while Bairon was up here with the lead force, even though he'll most likely be leaving this area to fight a Retainer. "They will be here any second now."

"Damon, Eleanor." Mica said, giving us a look as she stood beside us. "I thank you for fighting for Vildorial." She smiled at us, and I gave her a head nod, knowing that I wasn't allowed to say what I truly wanted to.

"We aren't just fighting for Vildorial." Ellie told her. "We are fighting for Dicathen, if we lose here, we'll end up going into hiding once again." I could feel Viessa about to enter the cavern, her aura pulsing out of her, which would make a couple of mages pass out for sure.

"Wise words." Bairon said, giving Ellie a smile, then that's when the first tunnel opened up in the sky, and a purple haired mage came flying out, but stopped as she hovered over us. "Prepare for battle."

"My name is Scythe Viessa, Regent of Dicathen." She spoke, slowly lowering herself as she met our eyes. "You are all traitors to the Vritra, however, if any dwarf lays there weapons down now, they might be spared."

"A Scythe." Mica said, looking up at her. "No dwarf here is going to do that!" She shouted back to Viessa. "So, turn around and leave before we kill you and your army." A void sword appeared in my hand as I got ready to pretend to fight.

Viessa's aura poured out of her, and I could see the color in Bairon's and Mica's face leave, they were scared, but they weren't going to back down, they had just fought an asuran, they could fight her.

"So be it." Viessa said as two other figures shot out of the tunnel she did, it was Draneeve and Bivra, and as they did, they slowly lowered themselves down to where Viessa was, making sure to stand behind her. "What happened to the ice Lance? I wanted to fight her again, last time was so much fun."

"Tch." Bairon snarled, then shouted. "Yeah, and how did that workout for you, getting blown up on a live broadcast." Oh, yeah, I remember being told that, Viessa captured Varay and was going to kill her, but Virion saved her. "Did you come to make yourself look like a fool once again?"

"Shut up, Lance." Viessa told him, then motioned for her Retainers to go forward. "Bivrae, shot that Lance up." Bivrae, the disgusting looking Retainer stepped up with an acidic aura that seemed to be pressing up against everyone, then launched at Bairon.

Tessia was going to take charge of the army while we fought these stronger foes, they'll listen to her. Helen was with the conjurers leading them, so having Tessia up with the augmenters is nice, I should say it's good for morale.
