Arthur Leywin

"Hahhaa!" Regis and Veer laughed together as they sat in the corner of the room looking at me. "Look at his face, look at it!" Regis spoke out, causing their laughter to grow a little louder, and I rolled my eyes as the three maids around me got me ready for the ceremony.

"He's so not happy right now." Veer said, holding his chest as he leaned over. "I'm so happy I don't have to wear a tux." He was wearing a nice shirt in a pair of nice kakis, this was just a small ceremony, we weren't having a big one until everything is done, the war is just too much right now.

"You will eventually." I called out to my brother, shooting him a look. "Are we almost done?" I asked the three elven maids currently fixing me up, tired of being laughed at by these two, but I was ready to marry Tess.

"Not yet." The maid with blonde golden hair said from in front of me as she messed with my pants. "I am sorry Lance Arthur; we need some more time." I nodded my head, letting them continue, wanting this to be over as soon as possible.

"Veer." I looked at my brother who was still sitting beside Regis. "Did the Glayders show up?" I knew he could sense everyone within the mansion, I could too, but not who they were, and I didn't know if the Glayders got here yet.

"Yeah, they are here." Veer told me, speaking calmly, but I knew he didn't like them. "Same with Kathyln and Curtis, oh, and the rest of the Twin Horns are here." I knew the ceremony was only going to be a couple of people, but I was still slightly nervous. "Dads on his way, just so you know."

"Oh, okay." I said, smiling. "I felt someone coming down the hall, I figured it was him or Damon." I felt a pinch in my leg, it was a needle from the maid, she made eye contact with me, but I didn't react, and she went back to work.

"No, Damon and Rosa are with the Twin Horns in the main hall." Veer told me, the main hall was where we were having our ceremony. I couldn't wait to see Tess walking down those stairs, this was something I never thought would happen, marriage, it's just, I never saw that happening for me, I thought I didn't deserve it. "Have we gotten anything from Kezess?"

"I have not." I told him, shaking my head as one of the maids backed away from me, leaving the other two. "He'll come eventually, he wants to know more about my control over aether, it's inevitable." Veer smiled as he leaned onto the table. "Why?"

Looking at Veer as he thought about his answer, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on inside of his mind. I knew he was up to something, it was clear, but he doesn't speak about it, he doesn't tell me anything. If I say something to him, he'll lie, there is nothing I can do by myself.

Tessia agreed with me, we talked about it a little, same with Caera, she told me a little about Nithe and Raven. They were able to defend themselves against the Legacy, this means they are not weak, and will be a threat if they turn on us. I didn't think Veer was an enemy, not yet at least, I've been having mixed feelings about the whole situation.

The issue was, Veer was clearly unstable, I learn that in the battle for Xyrus, his laughter, thirst for blood, made it very clear. It's a prime example of why I am not bringing him into the Relictombs. The issue was leaving him here alone, Tessia said she would keep an eye out on him, and that Veer would not do anything to harm her and the baby.

I didn't know how to approach him, how to find out what he was doing, but I had to figure out what to do. I couldn't just let him continue this, continue running around doing what he wanted, it was clear he was after something.

However, unlike him, I didn't have other people who could run around the continent and do my bidding, I needed to investigate shit by myself. That's why Tess was going to talk to him, try and get some information from him, but I doubt it'll work.
